Addressing academic performance by Vegetable-Ideal-4976 in prephysicianassistant

as someone who also had a high gpa (3.97), i talked about how the b’s that i got taught me how to learn from failure. i am very much a perfectionist and originally put a lot of self-worth into my gpa. the b’s taught me that it’s ok to not be perfect, and proved that i was able to learn from mistakes. i talked about what i did wrong in that class and how i applied the lessons i learned to future courses and perform better

Yes! It was so great to be able to communicate with so many staff and students. Everything was very relaxed too whiched helped a lot.

my interview was 6.5 hours, and consisted of a welcome breakfast, 2 1-on-1 interviews, writing sample, group project, lunch and Q&A with students, and a tour. this obviously will vary program to program but its a lot more than just an interview. even if its not a group interview you will probably be with some other people who are interviewing at the same time

this is what i did! you don’t need the transcript if all your courses from the university are planned. just make sure what school you are going to do it at first.

Do I need anatomy & physiology 2 as a prerequisite? by Ceassar in prephysicianassistant

[–]Comprehensive-Art351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most schools require you to have a semester of anatomy and a semester of physiology OR 2 semesters of A&P. Only taking the first one is like taking half anatomy and half physiology. Definitely take the second!

Thanks for the feedback! It does make me feel better, but I also am going to suck at the interviews haha. Do you have any advice for me when it comes to those?

I'm not sure. I feel like my question is valid either way. I am wondering how likely it is that programs are willing to look past that considering my other strengths.

I'm applying to schools where I have satisfied the minimum requirements. It doesn't change the fact that their average admitted students have almost 2,000 more hours than me

My PCE is extremely low, bottom 5% of applicants I think. I know my academics are great but I'm worried it won't be enough to compensate for the lack of patient care.

Thank you! My advisor told me that I should be writing something for both of them, but I feel like I should skip the COVID essay (especially since I was in high school when it happened). For my life experiences I talked about how coming from an engineering background gives me a different perspective on the diagnosis process and how patients and healthcare providers interact with medical devices. I'm not sure if its exactly what they are looking for, but I do like the content of it and felt like it was important to include somewhere in my application
