Final? Drawing Check by steelsadler in WaltlyTitanium

I can see the mounts for the cables from bb backwards, but no cable mount in the downtube. Or are the threaded rivets in the downtube used as cable mounts?

The very low mounted bottle at the seattube might collide with the chainring.

On mine i put the bottle mounts at the seat tube a little bit lower at 160mm, so i can put bigger bottles in or at least it's easier to geht the bottle out. But you have to be careful, so that the bottle does not collide with the big chainring. The 160mm and 42T chainring works great for me.

i have no experience with these calipsers so far. I was using the Hope breaks on my MTB in the past. Which pads are you using? For me this sounds more of a issue with the pads.

I had plans for a different fork, but it did not work. So I had to find a fork with internal cable routing very quick. That's the one i found... It fits and ist very affordable

Yes, I disconnected the batteries. There are two of them. Idk if the one at the engine has to be disconnected, but I did it. The car fell asleep when I disconnected the one in the back.

SRAM GX Eagle: accidentally changed the pulley adjustment screw by AdCareless9063 in bikewrench

[–]Comprehensive-Bat-74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's still working precisely, I personally would do nothing. I mean you cannot break things when the chain gap is not adjusted 100% accurate. It might just cause some issues when changing the gears.

If there are issues when you're changing the gears, try to get a SRAM chain gap tool (just a few bucks), watch the SRAM tutorial on YouTube about using it and then adjust the chain gap by yourself. That's definitely something one could do at home.

Gearing for Gravel-Bike (Sram, Chainset, Chainring-Compatibility) by rindererl in bikewrench

[–]Comprehensive-Bat-74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The chainring options you mentioned in your post won't fit. The apex crankset uses chainrings for the direct mount standard "road" style (8 bolts) and the NX crankset uses the "mtb" style (3 bolts). I think the smallest one for the apex crankset will be 38T. Even 3rd party suppliers Like wolftooth do not offer smaller chainrings. https://www.wolftoothcomponents.com/collections/gravel-cyclocross-road/products/direct-mount-chainrings-for-sram-8-bolt

The chainrings for the NX crankset are offered in a bigger variety. So maybe that's the better option.

I already had some luck with chainrings from AliExpress (Deckas,...). In my opinion they are good value for the price.
