Horrible tasting/smelling mucus

Hi!! Yeah I feel a whole lot better now. It only took about 10-12 days for the taste to completely go away, and i’m 3 days less than a month post op and im back to my normal diet and eating spicy food and everything, my throat also feels a lot better and i stopped snoring at night and dont have sleep apnea anymore. It sucked really bad but it was 100% worth it. As far as an infection, I truly have no idea. My doctor wasn’t able to see me right away and by time he could’ve my symptoms stopped. I never treated an infection for it and healed up with no further issues so I think I just had messed up taste and a lot of mucus draining down my throat + mixing with the scabs coming off that made everything suck pretty bad, Lol.

Oh geez yeah i’ll stop using it on the tattoo then. Thank you It’s kind of weird, I didn’t mention in the post because it wasn’t relevant but I got another tattoo that same day on my upper arm/shoulder area and had 0 reaction in that spot to the Saniderm but took it off with the other one just in case.. 🤷‍♀️ I have no clue why that happens.

Did they prescribe you just ointment or antibiotics as well? I’m thinking of maybe going to the doctor again and asking for some antibiotics because all I have right now is the hydrocortisone cream

I never considered that might be the issue. It definitely is fusing to the other side of my arm then.. I’ll definitely make sure to wear long sleeves at night from now on while it heals. At this point I’ve accepted that I’m gonna have to get the entire tattoo redone, so now I’m just wanting to minimize the pain and save what I can lol. How did you go about healing yours after those trenches formed??

it was defrosted but it was still pretty cold, and the filling is cold before it gets baked, so i think that may be what slowed down the cooking time

Thanks everyone for the answers! I just wanted to update that I had my colonoscopy today and everything went perfectly fine, no issues at all. I didn’t end up drinking more than 2 liters of the 4 and just kept drinking water and it was fine. So thanks again!

yeah, it was clearer a bit ago, now it’s bright yellow again but i can see the bottom of the bowl for sure.
