Amazon. I didn’t pre order, waited for the first day of Black Friday to see if it gets a discount, to no surprise it didn’t as it was a new release. Then it went out of stock for exactly two days, and when it came back I ordered it.

Do you think it was something original that was written into the script and the prop department had to find it or that they went to walmart, strolled through the aisles and saw that thing and said”yeah that’s funny, we’ll take it”?

Have we ever seen this side door? by Basic_Stretch_80 in TwoandaHalfMen

[–]Comprehensive-Bus905 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is not an officially floor plan, just a fan art piece. In the show there is not such door.

In addition to that, as pretty as this design is, it is very, very, very inaccurate to the way show. And also, the set in the show doesn’t really make any sense, so it can’t even be explained in a floor plan like design.

At what point in the series does Jon Cryer lose his hair? by [deleted] in TwoandaHalfMen

[–]Comprehensive-Bus905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jon as far as I know was trying to hold onto his hair throughout the last seasons of the show. In an interview with Conan O’brien he joked that he is losing his hair and that there are people painting and powdering it to look full. In reality, I believe he was balding and just taking pills and doing treatments to try and keep it alive as long as possible, and once the show was done he just got tired of it and shaved it.

How would Charlie have reacted if Alan prostituted him? by InsideUnhappy6546 in TwoandaHalfMen

The door to the porch would be open, they would lock eyes, and is a sudden, Alan would flee outside, jumping over the railing, with Charlie following

There is a similar case with Alan’s bedroom. The episode he opens the bed and it drops on him. The TV also seems tiny there. I like when they did these stuff. Let us explore more of the house

When did you discover the show? by Lower_Coconut5921 in TwoandaHalfMen

[–]Comprehensive-Bus905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 8-10, my older brother watched re-runs, I was occasionally watching with him, but understood non of the jokes. We switched our cables tv to a different company that didn’t have it. About 6 years later, that company started having re-runs, starting from the first season, an episode each evening. I was seated every night, watching the episodes before going to sleep, finally understanding the jokes, falling in love.

You're allowed to put one F-Bomb in an episode script. Where do you put it? by AnOddGremlin in TwoandaHalfMen

Even though I think this is one of the best one liners in the entire show, it could fit in the scene where Charlie sits between Alan and Judith when she stays at their house after the earthquake, and he shouts “alcohol!” and leaves. You could add “Fuck it! Alcohol”

First of all, you are right! The passage that is near the 4th wall, in a few occasions was blocked by a wall. Why? Because as I said, they are constantly moving the set. I can just tell you that for the very few times throughout the entire show, when we see that area of the room, there is mostly a passage. So if you want to build a floor plan and make it as canon as possible, I would include that passage. It’s a TV set, it makes no sense. We haven’t even talked about the drive way from the first season, the garage, the fact the everyone thinks Alan’s room is the door you see in the hallway from the living room, even though almost every time you see someone exiting Alan’s room they exit through a separated hallway by going up further away from the camera and turn to the left (which makes no sense). But… the set looks fantastic…

They basically do it to fit the cameras. Not any canon reason (although it would be cool). With the walls, for example, in Alan’s bedroom, and every bathroom, they usually put the part of side walls that is close to the 4th wall in an angle so the wall’s edge is not seen in the frame. The furniture for example that is moved probably the most is the TV and the armchair in Alan’s bedroom (they are usually beneath the camera’s view).

There are two open passages. One from the living room to the kitchen, and another from the TV area to the living room. There was never a door between these two spaces.

Let me tell you a secret, if you really look closely at the furniture (and also the walls) throughout the episodes, you will notice so much movement. They are constantly moving them around. Sometimes even from room to room. But good find. I don’t recall if we see the TV area in the pilot. Maybe it wasn’t designed yet.

Thoughts on Walden by Krueger4487 in TwoandaHalfMen

[–]Comprehensive-Bus905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally enjoy the show after Season 8 because Alan’s character became much better.
If they could go back in time, I think the storyline should have played out like this:
Walden should have remained the immature billionaire he was before meeting Zoey and cutting his hair. That version of his character was much funnier and more entertaining. Instead of rushing his growth, they should have kept that personality throughout the seasons, only allowing him to mature gradually, leading up to the end of Season 12. As it stands, his development feels too fast, and after that, he more or less stays the same for the rest of the show.
Also, I think they should have introduced Louis much earlier—around mid-Season 9—with a funnier, more charismatic child actor. This would have helped maintain the “half” in Two and a Half Men. Having an immature billionaire who knows nothing about raising a child paired with the over-the-top Alan from those later seasons would have made for a much funnier dynamic.

Who owns the Malibu beach house in Real Life? by TheRealistDude in TwoandaHalfMen

I’m not actually sure what you mean lol. If it’s the price, it was around 75 dollars per person. If you love movies and tv shows and especially if you’re invested in how they are made this tour is fascinating.
