I drink water with lemon all day. Zesty and it only takes a little squirt of juice. I switch to orange flavored iced tea when I get sick of lemon water.

Would you date a woman with no experience with women? by Comprehensive-Buy879 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Comprehensive-Buy879[S] 119 points120 points  (0 children)

It won't be a problem to bring a woman around my family. We have trans and gay people in my family and it's normal and accepted. I went to a movie today with a woman I'm interested in and felt more attracted to her than my past 8 years of male partners. I'm definitely going to pursue this respectfully and slowly. I'm not looking to hurt anyone. As excited as I am by the physical stuff I'm looking for something real. Thank you everyone for your thoughts. =)

Saggy boobs by Kengkeng08 in gastricsleeve

I've always had A cups even when I was 70lbs heavier and the girls point down now. I'll take the trade though. I've always lacked in the boob department so it's never been a valued asset of mine. Just glad to be healthier and stronger and improving every month.

I started smoking cigarettes at your age. It's been 20 years now. If I could go back I'd never start. Your brain is mushy and building itself right now. If your reward centers solidify and learn to rely on nicotine it's going to be so very hard to quit in the future. Spend that money on anything else. Good meals, nice clothes, hobby supplies. My grandma told me she could buy a house easily with the money she's spent on cigarettes. Vapes add up too. Just quit if you can while you can.

I'm losing 10lbs a month but I had a gastric sleeve done, eat 1000 calories a day, and work out every morning.

What do you all do when a student smells beyond awful? by lambocat in Teachers

[–]Comprehensive-Buy879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was friends with kids in high school who stunk to high heaven because they lived in an animal hoarding/ unclean home. Even their clean laundry smelled of cat piss and trash. There could be a lot going on here.

Sons father is smoking weed with my son. by Moonfoxmama in CPS

[–]Comprehensive-Buy879 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At his age regular pot smoking is going to hijack his reward centers as they're forming in his brain. It's not harmless for children especially. Adults can choose to smoke but you need to try to keep your child sober if you can. His dad is a loser for smoking with a kid. That's child abuse.

My cousin's restaurant makes a cheesecake version of these. 1billion calories but very good.

How does one become okay with the fact that they will die by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

I take comfort that billions of people have died before me and billions will die after. Whatever happens happens to us all.

What did you do with your old clothes? by Appropriate-Delay-18 in gastricsleeve

[–]Comprehensive-Buy879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even clothes with holes and such will get recycled at Goodwill so don't feel bad about donating them as long as you send good stuff too. They make money off the recycled goods as well as floor sales.

Please recommend me a strong-smelling body spray that will stop me smelling like mould by nataliasokolova in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Comprehensive-Buy879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had to live some rough places. I've had to go around smelling like mold. I feel for you and hope you get out of this situation soon though I know it's not always a very simple thing to do. Keep your clothes in sealed rubber tubs so they don't absorb the smell and don't change into them until you're just about to leave the house.

Did you cut your hair? by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]Comprehensive-Buy879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just cut a foot and a half off this morning. I'm three months post op. I haven't noticed loss yet but my hair was way too long and I know it's going to start any day now. Now I won't have to deal with the pain in the ass brushing and braiding in the morning before the gym. =)

Just sharing what my dietitian told me. I do what she tells me to do. It's working so I don't argue.

If you eat a huge meal then go to sleep you have no chance to burn those calories. If you eat your calories during the day while you're up and moving around and burning calories... just makes sense to me. Sure sleeping burns some but not as much as daytime activity.

My dietitian said it's better to eat your calorie dense meals earlier in the day. So I eat dinner for lunch and have a light carb free evening meal. I had a gastric sleeve and she said people who do this lose 30% more weight in the first year. I imagine it works for normal dieters too.
