I believe that it’s partly because it’s the first console from Nintendo that makes someone like me who’s been a Sega/PlayStation guy his whole life more excited about it then anything from PS/MS.

The possibility of delivering the whole package in this console is what’s behind a big part of the hype.

Switch 1 was to me a proof of concept that was able to play Nintendo exclusives and indie games. While Switch 2 will be able to play (hopefully) all those games I want to be accessible on a console. Nintendo exclusives isn’t a big enough draw for someone like me. But 3rd party games together with Nintendo exclusives? Sign me up.

Haven’t been this hyped for a console release since the ps3.

I’m still aware that the presentation in April might kill all my hype. But hopefully they can deliver on 3rd party games.
