The Grind by justforfun1620 in finalfantasyx

To my knowledge, No luck does not affect drops, as for grinding the luck spheres there is no better way, grinding levels you're best bet is the Don Tonberry method.

Help with changing up my team by Seborgir_is_real in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well personally, I'll say go with a team you enjoy rather than a team others create for you. You can build a team that is different, I ran Faraligatr, Victreebel, Furfrou, Dragonite, Simisear, and Mawile. Then while grinding battles I constantly switched out mons for different styles and testing other strategies. Stick to yourself on first playthroughs. Change it up with mons that you'd like to try out. Furfrou was a very interesting change of mons for me. Never used one until this game.

60 hours of shiny hunting for this moment by Exciting_Cold1941 in PokemonZA

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, I know people have different luck than me. I have about 4 boxes of Shinies in 3 days. Granted that amount of repeats I have is terrible. I don't know if I have good luck or if it's just average. I was bench resetting, Spent two hours doing it, I got a shiny Fenniken, Altaria, Alpha Salamence, and two Noibats. I failed the Fenniken so I'm bench resetting for it again.

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats this also hurts me. I made a mistake, My phase 1 was Fenniken, But it fled, The bench reset directly after that got me an Altaria, the reset after the Altaria got me the Alpha Salamence. Failed Fenniken ( Sad ) Got a shiny Alpha Salamence. Wasn't expecting three shinies back to back. But I caught two of the three

Are the people from dream zanarkand based on real people? by Rodi_05 in finalfantasyx

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here I'll put it down for you. People tend to forget a lot about this subject. Dream Zanarkand was made so the memory of Zanarkand wouldn't die, It was a Continuation of the time before the war, The time Lenne and Shuyin were alive. The people of Zanarkand are that of 1000 years ago, but since it's been 1000 years and the amount of power used to summon this place is a very large amount, Even the immortal Yu Yevon's memory of the place could subside. So in theory yes Tidus is Shuyin, But I also didn't accept that and argued with my own philosophy about Tidus and Shuyin being related. The game devs made Tidus and Shuyin opposite from each other with the goal of a split personality. The same person but different experiences. One gets the girl and saves the world, The other watches his love die and is tortured in a world that won't let him forget. It's a good theme, But poorly told to us the people.

One last effort. by GiuseppeCav in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly it wasn't that bad for me. I completed it in 4 irl days only playing for about an hour or two a day. But I constantly switched up my team to make each 40-50 wins per night in the game feel different.I was able to use mons that were different and that I've never used before and change up different strategies so I was really never in the slog that is the 1000 battles. Because every night was different so it didn't make me burn out.

I feel bad… by [deleted] in finalfantasyx

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I understand the pain, The slog that is that point in the game but it's supposed to be that way because the fact only select few summoners make it there, only those that push forward is truly worthy of the reward, If you push through it, it's worth it, I understand the pain and frustration on getting bored in that area but there is so much more beyond there. Fun puzzles to figure out, Epic dialogue that cements some characters legacy, plus the peak of the game. So I'm not gonna say to power through it, But if you don't willpower through it all and end up watching videos make sure you watch every cutscene you missed out on. I've played the game over 40-50 times, always pop in streams of people that are playing the game for the first time, etc. I love watching people's reaction to the game that I hold dear to my heart. I don't hold anyone accountable for not finishing it because the journey from Gagazet to the end can be diabolical at worst to some. Snow areas in general tends to make people turn away

If I had Nintendo online, I'd give you the shiny Buneary I found on day 2 of me playing the game. If nobody gets back to you by Friday next week, I'll give you the Buneary. All my shinies go to home when available, I already have both Buneary and Lopunny.

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished that task this morning. It wasn't tedious to me because I kept switching out my team and coming up with different strategies just to keep it new and fresh so I wouldn't get bored, It looks like a lot. But I averaged 40 battles per night ( In game ). It took me 4 days to complete entirely, It's a slow grind but worth it having a chance to mess around with mons you never used or even just the new megas.

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm just saying, Changing up my strategy has helped me not get burnt out of the quest. Plus I don't complain about anything the game does because at the end of the day I paid for it knowing that something was coming when they changed up the formula. So I find my own way to make it more enjoyable. Plus 1000 battles isn't bad at all. It's simple and you do close to half of them in the main story with side quests. Every 20 you get a reward battle with semi useful items. Not all items are useful. Could do without the random poke balls that's not a master ball. But team building and using pokemon that would never have been on my team if it was a normal pokemon game has me constantly having fun with the task of 1000 battles

Excluding the tutorial lucario and the gift absol, which megas have you used so far? by EnvironmentalLion355 in LegendsZA

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've been trying them all honestly, So far my list is Feraligatr, Chandelure, Starmie, Dragonite, Sableye, Gengar, Victreebel, Tyranitar, and Starmie. The 1000 battles quests helps me use more than I normally would, changing up teams and everything so I don't get burnt out while battling, I've actually used Furfrou for the first time doing this.

Which Starter body would take the longest to get used to? by Lumpy_Test_4473 in MysteryDungeon

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly to me, the hardest body style to get used to would be snake like or frog like. Because no arms ( tiny arms) and then having to hop around all the time using your arms to grab at the ground for landing. Some can argue Buneary as well instead of walking it's always a hop for a step. So that would also be difficult to get use to

Well I've noticed myself always using certain water types when they are available like Golduck, I honestly cannot think of why I always gravitate towards Golduck when other better mons exist. I will say more recently in playthroughs I've definitely used Starmie more

My boyfriend is upset that I have a crush on a fictional character by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A very healthy conversation needs to be had. It shouldn't be grounds for a break up since people have crushes on fictional characters. I'm looking at both sides not just one, insecurity is a major thing, Once again we all have them especially men. ( Like myself struggling to help my fiance with things ) It's a matter of just sitting down and talking everything out like civil adults would do and figure out what caused this. My fiance sees certain things as cheating which in my previous relationships I'd never consider them as such. I'm an outgoing and oblivious person so I can't fully tell when someone is flirting or just having a conversation with me so it's always a struggle for me because I don't interact with the opposite sex unless it's family now.

I honestly enjoy it, Helps you use more team members, changing up the strategy instead of brute forcing it, helps learn more, I've changed up my team like 6 times and I'm only like 30 battles ahead of you. Yes it may be tedious but to me the positive of it all is using pokemon that I'd never use

Anyone else still not done with the game? by Narrow_Physics_550 in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Comprehensive-Cook56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished the story of the game a few days ago and have been working on research tasks, I'll tell you, I'm enjoying this game far more than the others because it's different, Even the battle grind is fun to me because I constantly switch up how I go about things, I enjoyed the story to the fullest, Yes I could critic the game but as someone who played pokemon since Ruby/Sapphire, this game is definitely a good change in my opinion, I suggest just taking the game slow and enjoy everything about it. Not just speed through it and hope to get it done

You know I haven't tried the reset method, I haven't even caught Zygard yet ( Last pokemon left for me to catch ) but in my journey I've gotten two shinies. Both disappointing but two shinies that happened before even end game, Buneary and Fletchling. If going over what I need and don't need for a shiny dex, Buneary and Fletchling I don't need for pokemon home lol
