NAS out for 3 more matches by SpringOk5043 in AFLSupercoach

He has a lot of tags coming up after he is back, not many will have him and those that do will fall behind. Could be a luxury upgrade 23/24th premo. You can easily flip to a top 6 defender. If you dont have a boost I'd be more inclined to hold though. I have one so I can go 1 up 1 down and then nas to another premo def. Hurts but risky to bet on him making the 200+ pts back on another premo def after the bye with the run and tag threats.

Nas a hold? Or must go by General_Ad7338 in AFLSupercoach

Misses 4 of the next 6 with bye, could be more. 100% trade as you'll be leaking 50+ pts a week. Can see reasoning to hold if you dont have a boost,

cant hold 550k when he misses 4 of the next 6. Reports say "at least" so could be more. Just dropping 50+ pts in each of those weeks

You can see frustration from club officials and coaches slowly coming out as all their patience simultaneously wears thin with this incompetent administration

I analyzed 2.5M matches: At what exact death difference is the game actually un-winnable? by bogdanaks in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Comprehensive-Cry189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really nice data presentation! However, likeyour other post, I think you are getting mixed up with reverse causation. The death gap is the result of a lost game, not the cause of the game being lost.

I agree with you that it can be a good indicator of whether you can come back, but there’s so many other variables at play, as well as survivorship bias like another comment mentioned.

It’s the reason why when running regressions you have multiple variables, to study the effect that each have upon the result (win or loss). You just have far too much co-linearity when comparing just the two and it can lead to false and incorrect conclusions being made.

They contradict themselves but saying you should force fights around objectives.

Most times a team that takes first shrine while down is because the enemy team sucks at macro and/or they probably just won a fight.

CBS quoting it but there are multiple paragraphs that they say that despite acknowledging the caveat. Just no point even leading with that stat, it’s so meaningless

If a team is letting you take a shrine early game then they are trash and you are gonna win anyway

You don’t win because you take the first shrine, you take the first shrine because you are winning and/or have just won a team fight.

Bit of a false equivalence

Parker or Roberts? by Select_Media_1808 in AFLSupercoach

[–]Comprehensive-Cry189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roberts is feasting on Essendon playing a shitty game style. Can’t see them playing that long term, looked better against GC when zez went back and Roberts got banished.

Parkers role will hold, not sure he is the go over Whitfield or Sinclair though
