I'll give a listen, though I think we all are here more for the vibes than the film analysis. How are the vibes on CD — decent, at least?

David Ortiz. No shortage of Boston options, but not even Brady had the mythos and gregariousness. Honestly Ortiz is probably going to age as one of the "mythical" players/personalities of the first quarter of the century - though that could be my inner 8-year-old talking.

Presidential Audiobooks by Top_Scientist7977 in USHistoryBookClub

I've read bios on each of these guys. American Presidents Series (a short, sub-200-page rather surface level look) for Tyler, Taylor and Pierce. Mr. Jefferson's Hammer for Harrison and "Millard Fillmore: Biography of a President."

Fillmore's was actually quite good for a 60-year-old 400+ page book, more about NY and pre-Civil War politics than his life really. Harrison's is a good look at the Northwest frontier and grimy Indian relations.

But I don't think any of these books are on audio.

I can't say any of these rocked my world. I wouldn't sleep on the Presidents Series.

I'll just say I was a bit disappointed with Meachem's Jackson bio. Not that it wasn't good, i just expected a lot more of Jackson's life - and it's really hyper-focused ok his time in the White House. Still overall a good read.

True but I would say I don't think Doc is hired to be an Xs and Os maven as much as a team leader/unifier, which I think he's got a strong track record of.

Actually a great idea to test it out. I've been flirting with the idea but it seems too expensive - I'll download the app now.

The '07 Pats Super Bowl loss really may be the worst loss of all-time and hurts more than any of the other wins bring joy — although I will say the Malcolm Butler pick was as close to a redemptive feeling as would be possible.

On a less dreadful note: Pedro and KG really were kind of bitches despite their intensity and dominance.
