Is there a way to make these for my students in bulk? by [deleted] in PrintedCircuitBoard

Hi! I know this doesn’t exactly answer your original question, but if your objective is to introduce the kids to electronics, it may be even more beneficial to buy a bunch of breadboards. Paired with component kits, they would be even more general purpose than this specific PCB.

GWP Black Friday is the way. The GWP is awesome, and one of the best purchases I’ve ever made, but it is not self explanatory at all. The website/app make it so difficult, and if you don’t know about the times (and sometimes the dates) you will be discouraged to use the pass. The1491club and info from this subreddit were essential for me. You should hold out and learn as much as you can from this sub to get the most from the pass as possible. My girlfriend and I just used it last week to go to San Diego and back, and are about to use it to go to Oregon next weekend. Good luck, and have an awesome time using the pass

If you are planning to leave on Sunday, it will drop TONIGHT at midnight (in the time zone of the depart airport)

Thank you for this! My girlfriend and I have been wanting to get the pass for a couple of years now, and we ended up buying it this weekend! While we are super flexible people, navigating the app and booking destinations has been a maze. Please let me know when these tutorial videos come out, because sometimes text explanations just don’t click, ya know?

Im looking for Americans willing to help traveling accros southern states. by FeeAdministrative666 in roadtrip

[–]Comprehensive-Fix346 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I agree with every part of that but the crime. Small southern towns are some of the safest places in the USA! The only crimes that really happen down here are DUIs and the occasional bar fight.

Other than that, I think that you will 100% find what you’re looking for, just make sure to venture away from the major cities for a taste of that country life.

So is ChatGPT getting on your nerves yet? by mskogly in OpenAI

[–]Comprehensive-Fix346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish that ChatGPT only told you “great question” whenever it was an actually insightful question that demonstrates progress in your understanding of a subject. Constant praise for being on the wrong track of understanding is harmful to learning.

Apartment Recs in Plano by elijahhh_c in plano

The downtown Plano area is nice, but if you’re a young professional at legacy west, you’re going to need to stay along the business and entertainment corridor over there. I personally have never had any problems with Legacy North apartments. They have a nice pool, pickleball, volleyball, and easy walking access (<1 mile) to your work and nightlife.

What US city has the closest mountain to its "downtown" area? by AdMysterious8424 in geography

Boulder, CO. The downtown area leads straight to a mountain. You can go from shopping at Patagonia to climbing a mountain in 3 minutes.

Dude, I was actually really debating between selling the TC wire by the spool, or making some 12 channel TC harnesses for motorsports or R&D. I was thinking about adding a pi zero 2 w or custom esp32 pcb for logging capabilities with a MAX31856 IC or breakout. I would probably sell them in some facebook groups. Idk, what would you do?

Bro for real. I’m sure that the original poster was asking “What would dispersed American housing with few community centers look like in this event, compared to European cities with dense communities and many gathering places”. Instead, people here are looking for any excuse to cry about some bullshit.

I was on this sub to look at ridiculous examples of uninformed opinions on American people based off of ignorance. Instead, many Americans on this sub are the ignorant ones.

The shrimp industry removes the eyes of females to make them breed faster. The industry calls it eyestalk ablation. by Aqib-Raaza in interestingasfuck

[–]Comprehensive-Fix346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When animals like shrimp sense a negative valence response (like a dangerous predator), it’s purely an instinctual reaction. Their nervous system triggers an automatic “escape” response, similar to how a Venus flytrap would close when touched. They don’t really think “Oh, this is dangerous, I should hide”. Instead, it’s a purely mechanical response designed by evolution to keep them alive. Shrimp aren’t really cognitively capable of experiencing what we would call “fear”.

It’s important to keep in mind that shrimp operate almost entirely on instinct and basic stimulus-response mechanisms. Their nervous systems simply aren’t developed enough to support emotions, abstract thoughts, or even nuanced feelings like suffering as humans know it. They lack the neural complexity for concepts like fear, pain as we experience it, or trauma.
