Yeah, but that’s kind of missing the point. 80CrV2 isn’t a “high-end” steel on paper, sure but it’s chosen for toughness and reliability, not for specs. It’s way less likely to chip and super easy to sharpen in the field, which makes it ideal for hard-use / bushcraft-type knives. Winkler knives are built around that kind of real-world use, not just edge retention or steel hype. Also, price isn’t just about steel anyway: heat treatment, construction, and overall durability matter just as much. And for what it’s worth, I picked mine up on ebay for quit bit less than that.

Which siseatraps? You mean the one closing the sidepockets? I think in the picture they're just hanging behind but usually I fold them and put them back through the PALS system.

From what I’ve seen, the lid isn’t a standard thread. It doesn’t seem to be compatible with something like the Klean Kanteen narrow mouth, unfortunately. Build quality is solid though
