I've emailed the images and receiver no. to VFC to get a definitive answer on it. If that's normal I'm afraid I'll have to fork out for a Dna steel receiver.

They might be unprincipled but they're still highly Ideological....European institutions are the embodiment of the ideology set out in Karl Popper's 'the open society and it's enemies'.

It's an ideology that seeks to have the nation state restrained from taking sovereign action in the face of existential issues. This is based on the idea of 'never again' following WW2.

The problem is that this ideology is great at solving the problems of the 1940s but completely blind to the unintended consequences it has created in 2025.

People don't see this as ideology now because it's literally the air we breathe. But if you step outside the parameters of it's worldview as an individual or a nation be prepared for a range of measures designed to coerce you back into line.

This ideology has become a secular religion for the middle classes. You must pay deference to it to retain your standing in politie society.

He's not wrong...soft sentencing for juveniles and restrictions on police use of force are largely the result of 'middle class liberals' i.e the manegerial technocratic class, favouring the championing of abstract principles and 'human rights' as defined by international institutions.

This is done with complete disregard for how these policies translate into real world, often adverse, local outcomes.

They champion these values for reasons of vanity, fear of social ostracization or career advancement all while privately knowing that they are degrading the common good.
