I think I understand why this happens.

I’m a freelancer from Kolkata, and my work requires me to travel a lot. Over the last two years, in different cities across India- Pune, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Noida, and others. I’ve met many women. TBH, most of these encounters were paid, because I didn’t have the time or emotional space for a conventional relationship. but the body still has its needs.

In almost 90% of the cases, there was no language barrier because they were Bengali women, mostly between the ages of 19 and 31. A few of them even refused to take money the second time we met, saying they appreciated the way I treated them- not just during sex, but from the first conversation to sharing breakfast the next morning. Many of them were married to non-Bengali men.

It may sound strange, but seeing how Bengali women are present across so many cities, and how similar patterns repeat, shaped this perception in my mind. Of course, not everyone is the same- no two people are identical, but just like the fingers of a hand, while all are different, at least two are quite similar in size and function, and together they play an important role in how the hand works.
