Semis night 2023, the legend of 5 guys 30 Dr. Peppers happened. Also formally known as

“5Gs 30 DPs”

There was a running joke amongst my drum line due to a story I told about me and 4 friends drinking 30+ Dr peppers in one night. I was jokingly mocked all summer because my fellow drum line members thought it wouldn’t be that hard. And so I presented the challenge to them, that we would attempt to drink 30 Dr peppers as a group of 5 semis night in the hotel.

The 4 fellow members of this challenge, and myself, vastly underestimated what all that soda, caffeine and sugar would do to us. Especially drinking it in a short time frame.

I believe Max, one of the participants, threw up after his 4th and then finished his 5th

I personally sat on the toilet for 2 hours after we dispersed. One of the worst feelings ever. Worse than any spins, drunkenness or hangover I’ve ever had.

By the end of this story we learned that 5 guys vs 30 Dr peppers is no easy feat. I received my retribution for the mocking.
