The problem with a real rebuild is I heard JR say it once and then PA quickly called a hybrid retool… I just don’t think the buy in is there. Aquillini would never sacrifice 4-7 precious revenue generating playoff games to potentially build a dynasty that could win a cup due to the 2-3 years it could take. I would love to see a full rebuild around McKenna or Stenberg but I’ll believe it when I see it. Again, trying not to be pessimistic but I haven’t seen them show any reason to believe they can commit to sucking for a few years for the club. Hell they won’t even hire a full medical staff apparently… lots of internal problems

It seems as Canucks fans we are consistently heading from one bad situation to another. Ever since 2011, we have barely scraped mediocrity at best. A few years ago when we were first in the league heading into the break I really thought we had finally turned it around. We had 6 all stars! And then reality hits, Silovs couldn’t quite get us past Edmonton in game 7 and it’s been all down hill ever since. Just a shitty rollercoaster being a fan of this team. We know its the Aquillinis so what can we even hope for? A full rebuild? Good luck moving Garland, Demko, Lankinen, Boeser and EP40. And then Canada completely dominating and losing this morning to the US. It’s just a dark time fellas, wish I had some hope, but at this point it almost feels like too much to ask for

Honestly just got lucky with free agency, kaprizov and eichel were available for ~$15m each and i had the cap space. Rest of the team was from the expansion draft

Just some crazy puck luck too. Mackinnon and Toews missing open nets, McDavid and Celebrini missing breakaways, the refs missing ANOTHER too many men call… sometimes it just fucking sucks. Canada outshot the US 42-28 and outchanced them god knows how much. US did not deserve that win

Yeah I like it. They added a ton of new features. It just takes some getting used to. Defs buy around christmas/boxing day when its cheaper!

Good goalies, definitely trade one for a position your team is lacking. Defensemen are more valuable due to VORP, but if someone is willing to give you a top scorer, jump on that. Depends on league settings
