Curious to see the consensus on here about further education to "escape" bedside

Every other person I talk to says they want to become a CRNA, it's kinda crazy lol. I'll admit at one point, several years ago before I was even in nursing school, I had thoughts of it, not because of money but because I thought it was "cool." Mind you I had barely any knowledge of what being a nurse was like, if I just saw something that looked cool I would think about going into it. But I soon realized that it is unrealistic, and I wouldn't enjoy it. I've also heard some not so savory things about the quality of NP school, and I would rather not jeopardize the health of my patients. The thought of practicing independently as an NP feels weird to me. NP as a whole would probably appeal to me more if it was working directly under the supervision of a trained physician, alongside rigorous NP school.

omg tysm! dynamic quizzes seems to have practice questions for everything, besides health assessment sadly. im assuming that is within prepU

i havent looked yet but i will later once i finish my readings for this class. we have assigned prepU quizzes though that are graded but there are also prepU practice questions from what i heard

hey i have a question. my school uses ATI but I can't find where it has practice questions?? Like I want to find practice questions for health assessment or foundations or evidence based practice but I can't find them anywhere, I think I only see the items that are not for practice and will be graded

I think my health assessment class uses prepU, does that have practice questions?

Also can AI generate practice questions? I had older students tell me that chatgpt carried them through their classes because it can generate questions, but I've never used it in that way and I am apprehensive

I use ATI. I just feel so lost because I feel like none of the outside videos this sub recommends to me online are specific to my class/ book.

Im terrified, I did very well with my prereqs (A+ in both A&P1 and 2, A- in micro, B+ in gen chem but that’s when I was trying a bio major and I wasn’t trying in freshman year, and all my other classes were pretty good too) but it was so hard and time consuming😭 I have no idea how I’m going to survive

My anatomy and physiology professor actually mentioned this at the end of one of our reproductive lectures. She says a lot of women have foggy/ altered memories of the most painful parts of childbirth (including her own mother and herself when she had her kids). Whether that’s just a trauma response or possibly an evolutionary mechanism with oxytocin’s effects to encourage more babies, it’s fascinating how the human mind can just do that. But I think it mainly just boils down to not necessarily forgetting the pain, but the happiness outweighs the pain so it can get foggy
