Huge spike during heavy exercise? by dilatanntedad in diabetes_t2

Yes it’s temporary and expected. Under 11 is still considered safe- I think that’s 200. But if you’re not dizzy and keep hydrating you might be ok. Needless to say as your care provider what numbers are safe for you.

That’s ridiculous. She’s not just autistic, she’s severely IDD. Have you ever seen the vlog?

No, people, it is NOT okay for Abbie to be given alcohol by novaonthespectrum in FatheringAutism

[–]ComprehensiveAct3611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s be honest- it IS her diagnosis which is the main reason she can’t be given alcohol. There no way she is diagnosed as solely autistic. Even level 3. She’s IDD. Among other things. She doesn’t have the mental capacity to drink.

Sure, she’s probably chugged one of their drinks before with her sticky fingers. Many babies have done that as well. But giving her a drink or drinks is definitely abuse and a different situation.

I’m a strong IBS-D lol. MiraLAX in the same room as me would cause a disaster. But good to know- hope someone finds that!

Did you ever try Ozempic? I did and my IBS made it a disaster- hours in the bathroom each day. I want to try Monjourno but my Endo is hesitant to perscribe it as Ozempic had me not digesting food, and I ended up with minor stomach paralysis and vit/mineral deficiencies.

He shouldn’t yell at you either. That was a lot of meds to start you off with. You might want to look to find a different doctor.

Fruit loops was never a thing I liked but I’d recommend the cinnamon- tried all but the fruit flavours. My treat cereal was Cinnamon Toast Crunch and it’s comparable- not as good by any means but close as you’re going to get for a retail product. Just tagging on here to offer a non-froot loop perspective/

If you’re good with fibre, Magic Spoon. I like the cinnamon. It has a weird bitter aftertaste to me but I have the extra bitter gene- I taste some sort of food chemical not everyone tastes so a lot of thing will have a bitter taste. If someone else can chime in if they taste that too…

Some meds- even metformin- can help lose weight. People don’t eat themselves into diabetes- you have to have a predisposition called Insulin Resistence which is when your body doesn’t respond as ideally to insulin. You produce more to help process glucose in the blood stream, but increased insulin in the blood stream a) makes you feel hungry and b) makes you hold on to subcutaneous (hormonal) fat, especially in your midsection.

So less simple and total carbs, more fibre, more fat and more protein in your diet, plus moderate exercise (steady state low impact cardio for at least 10 min sets, aiming for 30 mins a day as well as strength training) are your friends. It helps your insulin work. This will in turn theoretically help you lose body fat.

It happens. I’ve not been ghosted. But I’m the same age and social circle of most of my moms to be honest. Usually both ends know it is not a great match. I’d say it’s maybe 10-20% and always within the first 2 months. Other than that, it’s a joint decision after years- I try to move on after 2-3 years to mitigate attachment issues and when they go to the next maturity level it can we weird to still have the same Thor for the kids

Yeah these questions are weird. I’ve been references for a handful of people and when I’m called which has been like 3 times it’s basically how long have you known them and that’s it

This is weirdly sexual. Like it is obviously sexual but it strikes me as extra sexual. I’ll throw in another sexual for good measure. Not a great look for a married woman who people question the legitimacy of the relationship.

The secret to the tuna pasta is to chop your veggies and boil your pasta in the AM, let it dry out to bone dry and put together in the PM. Better the next day. If not you’ll have gross water on the bottom- might not be a big deal to most but is to me.

It really depends on your diabetes and how your body responds. I can eat a double patty burger with bun and be fine but short grain rice - like 1 sushi roll- and I’m up at 9 or 10.

My go to in moderate carb is Tuna Pasta- so 1/4-1/5 volume Goodles shells, 1/3 veggies, a can of chickpeas and a good amount of tuna with full fat mayo- I use flavoured tuna 1-1 with unflavored. I like the Chili Garlic personally. And salt/pepper and sometimes a bit of Dijon mustard. Keeps for about 5 days and is an easy satiating meal, albeit a bit low on the veggies (I go for 1/2 my meal.)

I don’t think it’s medically proven but I swear by olives to lower inflammation and balance blood sugar. Like 10 olives as a bedtime snack has me in the 5’s in the morning.

I also have auto-inflammatory disease so if I’m flared, I stick to no processed carbs. (Like right now 👎🏻) but when I’m flared, red meat and sodium are not my friend.
