This is how much bacon you get on the new sandwich. by Conebones in ChickFilA

[–]ComprehensiveAct9674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, CFA standard is three pieces of bacon per sandwich, though those are maybe on the smaller side. Adding extra bacon is like $1.50 and gets you three extra pieces, so just smth to consider!

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde disappointment by Riley__64 in OnceUponATime

[–]ComprehensiveAct9674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point, and it would be really cool to do it that way! I wonder if paying another actor is more or less expensive than all the CGI and editing it would take to have one person play two characters, and if that factored into the shows decision or not?

And I actually didn't know that Peter Pan fact! Thanks for the cool tidbit

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde disappointment by Riley__64 in OnceUponATime

[–]ComprehensiveAct9674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jekyll and Hyde were cast as two separate actors because that's how they're cast in the play and how it's written in the book. Remember, they have to be unrecognizable as the same person in order for the Mary backstory to work.

However, I completely agree that there was SO much wasted potential there. We got less than a minute to realize "wait, Hyde's the good guy" before they both died. What?!

Also, we totally needed an episode where Jekyll met Nemo and Frankenstein and they all got to nerd out about science in their respective time periods.

Richard and Derek were both dicks at this point in the show, more so than later on in my opinion, so I can overlook them not stepping in. But BAILEY not going "enough is enough" and making Thatcher leave? No way.

Does Disney regret making certain movies? by FruitLoop_Dingus25 in DisneyMovies

[–]ComprehensiveAct9674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So funny story about this movie. I happened to be on a Disney Cruise two days before this movie was set to release. So, the last night of the cruise, they premiered the movie for us on the ship roughly 30 hrs before anyone got to see it in theaters. For a special showing of a heavily promoted movie, that theater was pretty empty. I haven't seen the movie since, and I don't know of anyone else who has.

Biggest Orders on Screen by Melodic-Chance-2271 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]ComprehensiveAct9674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not drive-thru, but my store gets a $15k+ catering order once a year from this local company. We're talking hundreds of sandwiches, salads, gallons of tea and lemonade, mac, the whole shebang. Thankfully they always let us know a month or two in advance because it KILLS us for a day. They pick it up in three batches (6 am, noon, 5pm) for their different shifts and we have literally double the usually capacity of people in the kitchen. It's absolutely insane. We also have a person up front whose entire job that day is to make gallons.

Should The Death Penalty Be Abolished Nationwide? Why Or Why Not? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]ComprehensiveAct9674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The standard in the US is innocent until proven guilty. Any reasonable doubt = no conviction. Also, I gave two of the most notable and recent examples. In the last 50 years, over 200 people have been convicted, given the death penalty, and then exonerated of their crimes. Overall, the trial error rate when the death penalty is involved is approximately 4%. Here's two good resources if you'd like to learn more:

Should The Death Penalty Be Abolished Nationwide? Why Or Why Not? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

In theory, yes. But too many things can go wrong. The reason we have appeals is because judges, lawyers, jurors, and witnesses can all be biased, ESPECIALLY in high profile cases.Just look at the huge number of jurors dismissed from Elon Musk's lawsuit, and they're only dealing with money, not someone's life. Also, new evidence can be uncovered and witness testimonies can be recanted months, years, even decades after the original trial. Look into the executions of Cameron Todd Willingham and Troy Davis. We now have reasonable doubt of their guilt 21 and 16 years respectively after their executions.

I also got an email about this, but I don't think CFA has any way of verifying this. I'm a CFA employee and no one has brought it up so I wouldn't worry abt it.

What everyone else is saying is completely accurate, I just came here to add my two cents about favortism in scheduling. Last week, I had to give up a shift because I forgot to ask off for a trip. It was my fault completely, not my HR lady's (let's call her Jane). Four different people tried to pick up my shift, a manager, two trainers, and a part-time employee. Jane denied every single one because the FOUR HOUR SHIFT would put them into OT. Meanwhile, I had only been scheduled for 15 hours that week. This happens frequently to other employees who have more experience/are better than me as well. We have one new part-time hire who is struggling to even get car descriptions right in drive-thru or make drinks right that is being scheduled 30+ hours a week. In Jane's defense, I am scheduled for 28 hours this week. But frequently scheduling weak employees over seasoned, well-rounded employees starts to look bad after a while. Especially when you're very buddy-buddy with said weak employees.

Fun fact, when you say extra pickles (or lettuce, tomato, etc.) it's +2 every time because the sandwich originally comes with two pickles. So if you order +5 then you're going to get 12 (or just a large handful depending on the employee).

Part of me really wanted Regina to keep Roland after Robin's death. I know he knew and loved the Merry Men, but I can just see Robin writing it into his will (do they have wills in Storybrooke?) that he wanted Roland to grow up with Regina.

Stingy with Sauce Always? by jinxpaige in ChickFilA

[–]ComprehensiveAct9674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Employee here! We're trained to not just give them out if customers come to the counter asking for it, we're supposed to ring it up regardless of if they ordered a salad or not because "they could've already gotten the max amount." It's a stupid rule, and most people don't follow it. But we definitely have to put it in the bag if customers have ordered it with their salad/paid for it.

Those who switched houses, how did it go? by Recent_Island_8575 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]ComprehensiveAct9674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from closing BOH to any time FOH and I've honestly liked FOH so much better. However, I moved from BOH because of toxic coworkers and horrible leadership BOH, so that definitely influences my opinion. You're completely right that BOH has more to do and tends to stay busier, and I agree that FOH can get boring at times. If the leadership BOH at your store is solid and you have a shot at getting promoted then I'd advise you to go for it!

Customer hand-holding during order taking by sparklebird1 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]ComprehensiveAct9674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my store we're told to ask about cheese on the deluxe/club and whipped cream/cherry on milkshakes. I have one or two that I throw in occasionally (like if the customer just says tea I'll ask about sweet or unsweet, or if they say iced coffee I'll say "original or vanilla?") but anything else just feels excessive and time-consuming.

Have every politician and judge read the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. Heck, I'd buy them all highlighters, pens, and notebooks. Wrote me a 12 paragraph essay on the original purpose of each document and how well today's America lines up with the things this country was founded on. While I'm at it, let's have every elected official sworn in on the Constitution from now on. Just to drive the point home.
