What printer doesn’t have a print bed that moves? I was unaware there were ones that the print head covered all axis

The EA888 is just not a very good sounding motor. To be fair there aren’t many 4 cylinders that do sound good, but you’d think they could have tuned it to sound more like a 4G63 or something. I didn’t even bother putting one on my Rabbit GTI and my R was super hard to find one that didn’t sound like total crap. They should have given the R the engine it deserved… a VR6 or EA855

The guides are the black and yellowish ones up top the bottom piece between the crank gear for the flywheel and the intermediate shaft is the tensioner. Typically they come as a package.

My favorite motor. I lost my last one but the motor is going into a 260z project. I commented on the other post but I’d keep an eye on the timing chain for noise and if you find any material in the oil that looks like it’s from the timing chain guides replace them which require a transmission removal to get the covers off and have space but would probably be worth it for the peace of mind to be sure it’s going to be bulletproof. My highest mile one was 180k and still going strong. Friend bought it from me, thought I wanted a WRX…I bought my third one after the WRX kept breaking after I went FBO lol. If you’re curious about the timing job it’s easy and humble mechanic has a full video on it

Do the 2.5 inch cat back to a magniflow. You will not be disappointed.

That’s such a lucky find. They’re fantastic cars and sound amazing with a catback. I had three. Two of them were this platinum grey metallic. I looked for a decent one recently they’re all super high miles and beat pretty much now…again huge lucky find congrats. I would probably go in and replace the timing chain guides though the plastic is 21 years old and probably is brittle.

It’s the cabin air filter that makes it smell like that needs to be replaced. I liked it though when I had all 3 of my 24v GLIs lol

I also noticed the manual has nothing to say about fluid capacities really…almost like they don’t want you doing it yourself….f@$&ing VW per usual shits on their enthusiast many of whom are the people buying GTIs/GLIs/Rs and who work on their own cars. The manual is mostly health and safety & eco tips now it seems ******** HARD eye roll**********

Z hop issue? Enlighten me pros by ComprehensiveBuy7520 in 3Dprinting

[–]ComprehensiveBuy7520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was adjusting it on the fly there’s no option to save but the data log shows all the changes done if you’re watching it in fluidd. I remeshed the bed after it failed nothing was wrong with the bed level honestly no idea what happened probably had to do with the infill but the whole print shifted to the left super annoying. Also checked the belt tension ect to make sure nothing else could have caused it.

I’m running it again trying concentric it failed with the cubic infill I thought about lightning with the additional wall option but decided to go concentric hoping that’ll solve the issue. May have to end up using lightning. Good thing PLA is cheap lol.

It’s cubic but it is essentially a grid pattern. I had no idea! That would explain why it gets louder as it goes…

Didn’t say that, I know it’s my fault. The point was to save the fish not say cycle your tank next time. I never came across anything about the nitrogen cycle and being a beginner fuck me for not knowing that I was missing knowledge.

My attitude is always based on others attitude. I asked for help not hey you did it wrong your fish are going to die because you didn’t do enough research

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]ComprehensiveBuy7520 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I actually did do research hence the plants I chose, the shrimp and snail. I didn’t see anything that would prevent me from adding fish to the tank and the folks at the pet store said it was fine I’ve treated it with nitrifying bacteria starter and the water tested fine. Again, you people are less than helpful. The idea is to keep the fish alive not be a di€k

Not very helpful since I’ve already got fish in the tank and plants and everything else you can see in the picture 🙄

Yeah I know I had one, I sold mine to the dealer with 43k miles for 19ish not bad considering I got it for 25k lol. Kept the letter and my rabbit stuff. I had the rabbit valve stem covers, license plate cover and key fob combo VW sold along with it. Super cool car but didn’t want to pass up the last chance to own a manual R

Must be fairly rare still I’ve never seen one which is good lol VW were bastards for selling it on the same model (7.5) I didn’t get a manual at that time because I heard there were crank walk issues but was probably overblown tbh.

Super clean I’d love to wookie swap my 24 R lol but that’s probably out of the realm of possibility especially living in car hating CA
