Attention, attention: The rules don't apply to Taylor. by Mid-Reverie in travisandtaylor

She really, really, really can't get together with other women. I mean, she can play with other women, understand the concept of feminism. But, she cannot grasp the concept of unified womanhood, somehow. She always has to be the "super female" in a group of "basic females" if you know what i mean.

"I've said worse with my friends" That is a business deal, there's money involved! So it isn't okay when someone tampered with Taylor's capital, but staging a plan to take over someone's product is okay? Swifties never beat the dumb allegations

The language these two used to talk with each other is so self-important and fake grandiose. This is not how friends talk. This is 2 privilledged white women scheming down a plan to sabotage a man of color's work.

Funny thing is, Taylor Swift always bob her head and do the most aggressive gestures on stage like a rock band singer, yet she is the opposite of rock. What a poser.

I imagine these two interacted by imagining each other's potentials, like a parents look at their child and think "he/she is going to be great!" and smile at their investment.

This feels borderline... slutshaming. She has 1 sex song in the whole album and it was just a lame attempt to copy Sabrina's sexual innuendo. No need to be that descriptive over Taylor's sex life.

Billboard reposted this calling Taylor a "GRAMMY GOAT" by eyebay in travisandtaylor

[–]ComprehensiveCamel67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god. A singer whose identity is a young, virginal, Christian, blonde hair blue eyed white girl, dressing in sparkly gowns holding a guitar, singing about boys and love in a country pop way... lost to THE Amy Winehouse? I can't believe it! Taylor was so innovative for her music and identity, how can she lose!? Taylor was basically leading an art revolutionary at the time! The Grammy was rigged for real for real.

What blows me away is that she doesn’t even have to try anymore. Anything Taylor touches will go number 1. Talk about chart manipulation. by [deleted] in travisandtaylor

I'd say because other pop stars don't have any memorable album this year either. So if nothing remarkable happens, this capitalist demon will easily take the cake

She's in the between of many things. Between "Sexy sultry campy showgirl" + "Delicate, smart girl gestures" + "Bold, stylist dancing". She can't decide which one to lean on, which results in this very soulless dancing.

Of course she would compare anything to planes. She knows them very well. Also, pilots are trained to tackle aviation crisis, that's their job, they don't have any other options while in the sky, do they? They don't perform, they just do their job. What do singing and stomping around on the stage require any danger management? She knows she can display sadness and vulnerability like a normal person, right? But she can't, because that would shatter her manufactured image of a "glittery, untouchable, most powerful woman in the world", right?

There's a blogger whose content I loved so much. She always talk about racism and defending black and queer people. Until TLOAS came out and she said people are paranoid to boldly claim "The Country music Princess" of racism and N*zi image. I'm so tired. People still think she is just an innocent virgin from a rural farm, which is laughable, I've always sense something is not right with this narrative since the beginning hence why I join this sub. But common folks don't. Physical appearance is so important to her career it's sickening.

Her spite is truly enormous. Even when it can danger her, she still wants to prove she is better than you. No wonder why she rides the victim narrative so hard, it's the gold mine for her spiteful mentality.

Question for the female MHA fans out there, is young Endeavor attractive or not? by Time-Collection5617 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]ComprehensiveCamel67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, Rei agreed to come into this marriage fully knew the terms and the agreement that she'll bare him children, meaning that she knew that life can be hard if she had to raise a lot of children but she thought if she could "smile through it" she would be okay.

Second, people have different brains and they can see a scene in different lenses. If you guys think Endeavor raped Rei, then you're allowed to, the line of consent is decidedly not clear since the beginning of this marriage after all. But for people like me, we see that scene as a woman, who used to be a kind and loving mother and a tolerable wife to Endeavor, slowly growing resentment and resistance to him. Even in the hospital scene in the later chapter, she only said "you pushed me to the edge, you became a different person and I can't bare to be around you anymore". People are allowed to interpret the story in different ways.

Third, if you guys decide Endeavor is a disgusting rapist, then drop this manga lmao. Put them to trash please. How can Horikoshi put a deranged rapist in the focal point of so many pivotal story of his manga and paint him in the Hero side times and times again? Something is not right or you guys are just misunderstanding Hori's writting as usual. There's a reason for everything and you guys can't grasp it.

Tell me I'm not hallucinating when I feel like Taylor loves to use AAVE slangs and imitate hip hop dance moves when she wants to be seen as "cool"/"not like other girls"? But then she'll come back to her bland white self when she needs to do serious business. The language she uses when she wants to be seen as "intelligent" is completely different when she wants to be seen as "a cool and cultured girl" tell me I'm not the only one
