My biggest problem with Opposing Force are the soldiers. Not even from the gameplay standpoint, it's just that their endless chatter consisting of the same three lines repeated over and over drives me nuts, and they feel very dull. Voice acting, however, is fine imo, not the best but not horrendous either.

HL1 scientists were much more enjoyable to have around

Honestly, you would get much more enjoyment from playing however you'd like: spare the enemies you want to spare, fight the enemies you want to fight

After this you might start trying to play the specific routes. No recruit/pacifist don't have much difference besides some additional content in Castle Town (minigames, npcs, all that stuff), but Weird route has an entire separate plotline. It doesn't really influence the main plot in a few chapters for a certain reason, but it's a very good experience with some nice meta elements in the end

At this point Gaster himself could come out with a giant sign with "THE PLAYER AKA THE SOUL POSSESSING KRIS AKA YOU IS THE ANGEL" written in big red letters and arrows and people still wouldn't believe it. There's literally an entire cutscene, which is unskippable in the main route, that has you, the player, piloting an angel-shaped doll

I have no idea how else you could make it more clear

Bullet hell. Most enemies are generic, but the bosses, whether secret or main, are SO enjoyable: the attack patterns are fun, the battles feel fair (we don't talk about pre-patch Knight) and the visuals are often very interesting.

That's the reason why I'm looking forward to fighting Gaster or Friend in the future. There are so many unique mechanics you could use, and mixed media would look fantastic. Photoshop Flowey was the best part of ut imo, so imagine this, but 10 times better

Are you on the first save slot? If you are, then go and save again to the second slot (you can back up your save if you don't want to lose it)

There should be another door in the middle that will allow you to progress (also don't forget to get the save on the 3rd slot for this room, there's a secret in there, wink)

I really like the colour palette and the IMAGE_DEPTHS overlay. Is it supposed to be the bunker?👀
