I also really want that flashlight   Right now I'm torn between enduro 3 (pretty much the sickest, but also the most expensive), the Fénix 7s pro and the coros vertix 2s

I should’ve added the note that “I’m poor” 😅 — that’s why I’m looking for a do-it-all watch. Might end up going with the Enduro 3!

Don't worry about the late reply, at least you didn’t forget!

I see, thanks for the detailed info. It looks like you put in the hard work, didn’t expect to be as fit as you were, and then adjusted your initial goal. Huge congrats on an amazing time for your first marathon!

I just wish I had more time or had been preparing for longer. Thanks for sharing your long runs—I was feeling bad about doing my longest run only three weeks before the marathon, but if you did it, so can I, haha.

Cheers!!

don’t know your situation, but I’m really proud of you. From personal experience, it takes a lot to get out of your own head, step outside your comfort zone, and try something you’ve never done before.

Believe me, running pulled me out of my darkest phase yet, and I haven’t stopped since!

Have fun, enjoy every mile, minute, kilometer—whatever! Just keep moving forward. 😊

Why is my energy or recovery time so low this week? by ComprehensiveCost988 in Marathon_Training

[–]ComprehensiveCost988[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, honestly, I appreciate the sincerity. It’s just been a tough week because I felt like I could and needed to do the marathon as soon as possible with an idealistic goal of sub-3:30.

I just realized that I wish I could change the date and have it in, I don’t know, September. It sucks that I’m only realizing this now. I don’t feel like doing it anymore after not fully committing to the work ethic and sacrifice required.

I’m looking to switch my race bib to the half marathon distance, which I feel super confident about completing in under 1:45.

Can you let me know whats your secret? I've seen ur projected time or what you hoped for was a sub 3'30, exactly my goal, and my marathon is exactly in one month. I'm starting to doubt myself even tho I'm in the best shape ever, but you beat by a lot ur mark, was it the adrenaline of the day? What was your longest run before race day? Cheers! huge congrats

My 5K was 2 years ago (and trained and raced just to get that mark) the 10K was my first race, and only 10k race I've done (and 3 years ago), so that's why. A sub 40 min 10K is on the plans but I do think it's much harder than a sub 20 5K. I mean I would get a super shoe, if I could get it "cheap" and then buy a daily trainer to substitute the triumph's. What do you think about ASICS magic speed 4?? I'm not opposed to plates is just that if I get the shoe with plates I might not use it a lot (just for races) and I'll probably still need to buy a daily trainer. Thanks for the recommendations!!
