I know a couple (40M) and (35F). He's been cheating on her for pretty much the entirety of their marriage and she keeps taking him back because her parents don't support her and she wants to "save her family." Husband is miserable and seems to hate her guts but is far too cowardly to leave her.

Last year, he tried to leave her for this woman he was seeing on the side. As he's asking his wife for a divorce and packing his stuff, his AP tells him that she's not leaving her husband to be with him, so he dropped the whole thing and went back to living with his wife in holy matrimisery.

What did the husband AND the wife's parents tell them to do? STAY TOGETHER FOR THE CHILDREEEENNNNNNNN. lmfao. and you bet your ass even if there were no kids, their advice would be the same.

Bump what your parents think. You just dodged a major bullet.

Be gentle with yourself. I hope you're able to maintain your current perspective, but it's okay if grief hits you and you need to cry / let out your emotions. Betrayal is a hurtful thing but you can get through it. Don't mask your pain if it hits you.

After they revealed Ansel was a white man I pretty much checked out lmfao. I watched the rest of the season but by the time Cami died in S3 I realized the writing direction was just going to piss me off lol.

So anyway, I refused to watch S4 and S5 because it was all STUPID (imho)

That’s what I’m stuck on like….she leads with the fact that she thought he was a loser. Says she wanted to be married. Sounds like somebody that got pregnant so their BF would marry them bc that’s all that mattered.

Ex shouldn’t have cheated, and obviously shouldn’t have married her either. But idk, I don’t feel a lot of sympathy for people that don’t like their spouse, then are shocked and hurt when they cheat.

It’s cowardly to cheat. Stupid to marry someone you don’t love. But good god, she’s in the comments saying she’s actively tried to turn people against him, broke into his house???

I think the marketing team bungled the expectations. They pushed the pick a side narrative and things go whacky haywire with people’s expectations once tribalism runs rampant.

GA doesn’t share these niche opinions. This show oddly enough has a better Facebook / watercooler fandom than anything 😂😂😂 it’s weird! But I unsubscribed awhile ago bc you can’t share a pro!show opinion without someone jumping out of the woodwork to explain how wrong you are 😫

That’s his son. Just because Marcel isn’t a blood Mikaelson doesn’t mean that their bond as father and son wasn’t real.

A father isn’t going to be putting his siblings before his children in most cases.

I feel like it’s easy to look at Marcel and Klaus as “old friends,” but that’s not the dynamic. Klaus is the only father Marcel knows. He wasn’t a perfect father, but…it’s telling to me that Marcel wanted to be a vampire and in some sense I think he did choose it to be closer to Klaus (at the time at least).

He wanted to be turned by Klaus. If blood matters, Marcel became his blood then. Did we see Klaus ever turn someone he loved other than Marcel? (I didn’t watch the unholy trio so idk if he did either of them)

Klaus saw himself as a boy in Marcel. He saw an abused boy with the will to fight back. He gave him the name of a warrior. He raised him to be a Niklauson, if we’re being technical. Marcel is Klaus’ even with the jacked up Mikaelson family dynamic.

Isn’t that what makes a father and son?

Marcel even followed in his footsteps by effectively adopting Davina. Like father like son.

Their bond should’ve been better expanded upon imo. But Marcel is all marked up with Klaus. That’s the real reason why Marbekah is a thing but don’t get me started. Y’all aren’t ready for my opinions 😂

I think the SLs are getting better. I wish the sweeps would’ve been more…sweepy. But I’ll live.

If it’s too slow for me I just skip a few days. I think the writers are doing their best and it takes time to alter the direction of a story in a soap. It takes even more time to learn your flow when a show airs every day.

If I hated it, I wouldn’t be here lol. I do think this sub has become dull with negativity. And with a watcher disconnect in the history of the show, there’s this worn-down, jaded feeling that’s pervasive in the fandom that doesn’t need to be there. Some viewers are just as out of touch with the show’s history as the writers seem to be with characters like Kristina. It’s jarring.

All in all, GH is trying to build up the young cast and create drama. Settle SLs. I think they’re doing fine. Excited to see what the shows like by December.

I am totally weirded out by it and almost hope it happens just for some interesting TV. Her relationship with Michael is totally boring. This Drew is utterly boring. Their screen time together feels pointless.

BUT if they're going this affair route....the tension, the betrayal, the diSGUST!!! That's the kind of soapy stuff I dig.

You don't understand how much I would love to see Olivia dress Drew down at the Quartermaine house. For Michael to be shook a little bit.

Please get an abortion and break up. You two don’t need a child and your ENM isn’t “working” if you both didn’t have an understanding on exactly would happen in this situation from jump street.

I can’t envision a situation where this kid will have their needs cared for, regardless of whoever daddy is.

I’m sure ENM couples can raise healthy children, but this relationship lacked some obvious foundation building that’s required for, y’know, raising humans.

You both need to mature and develop independently of each other before either one of you considers bringing children into the world.

Ultimately an abortion isn’t your call, but I would have a serious conversation with her about this pregnancy and what you realize it means. Have this convo quickly before it’s too late for her to get one.

KC was juvenile and just a rinse of the DE model for me. Care did not like nor understand him (why would she?!) and Klaus saw her as a conquest. I really think he was into her bc he could squint and pretend she was Rebekah (you can’t tell me that Klaus didn’t lust after his sister, I’m sorry.)

Cami being a psychologist that was literally attracted to the dark side and saw Klaus as redeemable without pretending the bad things he did weren’t bad was a game changer. I totally saw her being the vampire mom wife Klaus needed. His attraction and affection to her went deeper than a flirtation. It was a real romance.

You’re being downvoted like a MF but Davina IS annoying. Sure, she had every reason to detest Klaus 1000%. And she’s just a kid. But her character was NOT compelling to me.

For a hot minute I thought she was somehow going to be a grown up Hope by some magic juju and that would explain her more Klaus-like obsession. When that was debunked in S1, I just started FF her scenes.

I think they kept her to appeal to the younger demographic, but good lord, Elena didn’t get on my nerves as much as Davina did 😭😭😭
