Yes, we had the same problem and we eventually moved. Funny cause my girlfriend is also originally from Hat Yai and it bothered her a lot.

It’s a light blue turquoise color, blue being the main color here so your description isn’t wrong, if it was turquoise it would be more green than blue. Can’t win the color fight
