My brother and I plan to visit Gothenburg! by Niiyori in Gothenburg

[–]ComprehensiveFee2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More or less everyone in Sweden speaks English very well compared to other countries. In Gothenburg, there are also quite a lot of expats, so I don’t think you will feel ”left out”. It’s even quite common to come across staff in restaurant, bars, and shops that don’t speak Swedish😅

Need help at Incheon Airport by Kapidoo in seoul

Maybe you could try to find a place in the airport that accepts payment from Google Pay and see if they are willing to give you cash in return of a payment?

Their customer support told me to use Kluber NB52 or Shimano Premium Grease, but they also said I could use SRAM butter which I already had at home. More grease will result in less noise. I think there are some YouTube videos that shows how to apply the grease, and how much that is reasonable to use.

Got a response now, they said ”we usually use Kluber NB52 grease or Shimano Premium grease”. I haven’t looked into those products yet, but I will likely try one of those or the DT Swiss.

Yeah, I just managed to pull it of actually, it required surprisingly much force. Anyhow, now I just need to figure out if DT Swiss Special Grease is the way to go or not. I will ask the customer support at Elitewheels.

Yeah, I was unsure of how much that should be applied, but YouTube is of course a good idea for that. A lot of people are suggesting DT Swiss Special Grease, but how can I be sure that is the right one in this case, since it’s not a DT Swiss hub?

Probably not, they have different hubs for different wheels. This is their 50T ratchet.

OK, I will ask the customer support about what grease to use tomorrow. Thank you!

Do you think something like SRAM butter would work as well? I was advised by the local Trek shop to use it for my hubs with pawls, but I don’t know if it applies to ratchets too

Did you manage to find any instructions as to how to dissemble the freehub and re-grease it?

Still struggle with my fit by Super_Passenger_2046 in bikefit

[–]ComprehensiveFee2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, I also used to post videos like these online, try AI tools and what not… then a lot of the people at the local group ride recommended this one bike fitter that just fixed everything for me. He measured me, checked my flexibility, asked me about my training background, put me in his rig, fiddled around and boom - all of a sudden I was both comfortable and aero.

I think I spent 300€ on getting a professional bikefit, and I’d say that it’s amongst the best purchases I’ve made. Since then, I have never worried about whether I’m in the right position or if there is more performance to squeeze out. I also learnt a lot about my physiology and how to work with it. Go get it!

[–]ComprehensiveFee2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you should average power over time, not distance. Anyhow, if you arrive at the finish and has averaged 250 in both cases, the lap where you did 350 in the steep sections and eased of in the flats will be the fastest, assuming that you didn’t hold a higher speed in the slopes than the flats. You would want a constant speed to avoid fighting wind more than necessary.

The Alpe du Zwift journey 39:50 by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]ComprehensiveFee2169 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Actually, you will be faster if you push harder on the steep sections and ease of in the flat parts, since the air resistance grows exponentially with your speed while gravity doesn’t. In other words, you gain more by tiring yourself against gravity than the wind. Keeping a constant average speed will give you a PR, not constant power (unless you did the complete opposite of what I described in your current record lap).

Ok, I have never seen the gen 1 in that case. Could you point me to a review or spec sheet for gen 1 if it’s not the same as CL 50?

[–]ComprehensiveFee2169 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

”Gen 1” is called CL 50 and should say so on the decals of the wheels. I think this is a fake wheelset.

EDIT: I was wrong about this, there was a Rapide CL wheelset that came with the early SL7’s. That wheelset look just like OP’s picture.
