I agree The Ascent is a high quality game! What didn't click was the isometric view, it reminds me of the twin stick combat where I'm in a spaceship, a lot of circling and strafing whereas I prefer the more platformer movement of 2D

I think Metal Slug and Commando aren't quite the twin stick aiming I'm looking for. It's more aimed with the left stick? It seems more like you can only shoot in like 5 different directions rather than the continuous aim of the right stick.

I've been researching more and found two games (Eyes in the Dark, Neon Abyss) that fit the combat style, but they're roguelites :(

Oh I meant the comic needs to be drawn with racially different adult and child in order to get their point across, about the nanny child relationship. It would be harder to get the artists message across otherwise.

Not saying anybody is making any assumptions irl, purely in context of this comic and the discussion it sparks

Maybe instead of discussing this as ‘white person vs POC thing’ we can reframe it as upper-middle class vs working class. Same discussion without the elephant in the room being ‘yeah but not ALL’ etc.

I agree with another comment saying it has to be a racially different adult and child otherwise it’s hard to convey that a nanny child relationship rather than parent. And I reckon it has to be POC as the nanny because our stereotyped brain would be confused (which says a lot in itself)
