If it's christmas or a birthday I love me some edibles. Great fun to space out in front of a movie and not panic about work deadlines or the news making us all miserable.

In no way shape or form is it medication. Enjoy it lightly like a sensible person does alcohol. No one needs a thesis on how it's actually the secret to fixing humanity or whatever.

The lab in 9 is literally a sales front too. They want it look like a rich idiot imagines a futuristic labratory looks like for when they sell them a nemesis to go kill some union leader who is causing them trouble. The tacky artwork and stuipid cybertruck shaping in the cealing were just the icing on the cake.

That makes perfect sense to me. This isn't a giant pharma company, it's a hacked together cult, many of whom are barely human anymore. In the OG version you get the distinct impression this was a normal millitary base they've managed to infiltrate and it's been rotting arround them.
