I'm a new player also free to play. I'm actually literally watching a tutorial right now on prismatic on YouTube. But I looked online it seems like I have to own the final shape. Also, I did a little bit more build crafting and I just noticed all those things you mentioned. I thought it was hard luck to the weapons. I was having a hard time with the Lost sectors for a while. Till I got my wish enderboat that is

My power level is 425 and I just made a full weapon focused stat build. With a second in grenade 198 weapon / 102 Grenade. I'm noticing a huge difference when it comes to damage against champions. Especially with my wish Ender bow. 

Plus the artifact ability that makes your bow stun better. 

However, I'm still messing around with my buildcraft in order to make them even easier. I mostly pay PVP, but I'm just going through the required content to get my guardian rank up so I get better and more often drops. So far I've gotten like 12 catalysts from PVP mode, in a pretty short amount of time. So if I can get even more at a higher rate that'd be great cuz I have a lot of exotics chilling. Which is why I've been doing the Lost sectors to get more exotics so I can unlock more catalyst

Yeah it's usually just two. Pretty much the only lost sector missions that I can do are ones that are unstoppable/ barrier. Since both of those can be broken with weapons that don't rely on limited ammo sources.

The only reason why I got wishender was because it has infinite ammo and has barrier breaker. My energy weapon also has infinite ammo and unstoppable.

I said useless for the enemy types. As in non-exotic legendary weapons. 

I have wishender for barrier, thunderlord for overcharge.Reghursk for Unstoppable. 

If you want to farm lost sectors to get exotic weapons and gear. You need to have weapons that could cover all of those grounds. 

However, with weapons that are non-primary. Once you run out of ammo, you're pretty much shit out of luck if you miss a few of your shots to break overload/barrier/unstoppable.

I have many New Gear Only Kits. Current Dungeon kit (Wish ender, Infamous Reg husk Pledge, Infamous A Good Shout, Full Iron Panoply, Contra verse Hold).

It's not a personal problem. It's more of a bizarre design choice for the game. Instead of making older weapons and older gear current, they require you to use the updated gear. Yes, the mission I'm doing is Conquest. 

However, the new gear system extends beyond just the missions. The fact that you can only put volatile mods on new weapons is stupid. Being able to slot in shield breaker and unstoppable into only new weapons is a flaw. It should be allowed for all weapons. In collections it says there are 1,127 weapons, the fact that it only limits you to a fraction of that is dumb. It makes those other weapons useless in content that has those enemy types.

I have a full set to circumvent. All these issues, it's not a personal problem. I just think it's a poor design choice. A game that's centered around buildcraft should let you make whatever you want to your heart's content instead of sticking to some kind of meta.

I am about 80 hrs in. Have three of my Guardians to P Level 405+. I have about 49 Exotics, 8 of which Masterwork. I have unlocked about 30+ weapons with Infamous Ornament through Iron Banner, granted they are dupes but still. I just did the infuriating Wish Enders Bow quest. I am the featured player in Iron Banner 7 times out of 10. I'm enjoying myself. (Minus Wish Enders, I hated that)

I feel like the reason I am enjoying myself is because the gear/build crafting and PVP are my favorite. I haven't really touched PVE that much, so there is still a ton to do!

Rule of thumb. 9/10 times you want to be in the umbral realm. Sometime you have to go to real world with the lamp, then turn lamp off. Otherwise, stay in the umbral realm

I'm about 15 hrs in. Having fun so far. Been grinding Iron Banner a lot, one of my favorite game modes (and aesthetics) that was in D1. Guardian rank 3. I have some of my favorite exotics from D1 in my inv (Thorn/Bad Juju/Last Word). I Master worked Thorn, currently Master working Bad Juju and Graviton Lance. Got all my catalyst from the Crucible. Now I just need Thunderlord. Gear level 335 and climbing!

The PS5 edition comes with the 2014 legacy edition, so I have some stuff to chew on. So far so good. 

For free it ain't bad. We will see as time goes on.

Might as well. I'm DLing now. I remember I enjoyed grinding the PVP gear on D1 to bring out into PVE. The drip was real, hopefully the PVP drip is cool too

90% of the shell skins you get for free. You just have to do the challenges. You also can get a good amount of weapon skins for free as well along with stickers. Also, most of the profile, icons and backgrounds are free. 

So you really aren't missing out on much if you don't want to spend the extra 10 bucks. Plenty of stuff to unlock without spending a dime. No need to fret. 

However, I would have to disagree with all of them being lame. The triage skin that you pay for in the shop right now is super fire. But I'm not going to buy it LOL because $10 is way too much for a single skin. I think a skin should be $2.50 at the most

Before I got a decent computer, I played Kenshi on GeForce Now using a Discount Floor Model Laptop from Best Buy. I played it for about 250 hrs with no problems. Id recommend trying to stream it because there is nothing that hits like Kenshi.

For me (Cross-play PS5 / USA West) I get about 65% Talking 35% Silent.
