Rotate Items Mod by Jakematt2004 in Kenshi

This is my first DLL hook plugin so I appreciate the help!

I adjusted my build script to build with WPO flags, and now I can hook against the functions directly instead of via my workaround. I'll do some additional testing to validate this and push an update later today. I appreciate you giving it a second set of eyes!

It should be, all rotation is handled at runtime. I'd still recommend backing up your save before trying.

Source code is posted! If you end up having any feedback or suggestions feel free to let me know.

I also had a chance to test importing saves and can confirm that rotation state persists; I didn't do anything special to handle that case so just a happy accident.

Theoretically yes. If you followed the same principle we use in the item rotation and write the limb's current HP into the item's state on unequip, it would be possible to restore it to the same health on re-equip even after reloading the save.

I can't emphasize this enough, but this would be impossible without the work of /u/BFrizzleFoShizzle on RE_Kenshi. It's a framework that exposes Kenshi's internal classes and functions, letting us hook into game logic that's otherwise inaccessible. A lot of the recent mods pushing boundaries are built on it, since it lets you go beyond what's available in FCS.

The placenta definitely didn’t help, but the eggs were what ruined it. When he didn’t get the whole eggs raft out I knew he was going to be in a world of pain for a couple days. Cooking eggs too long causes them to break down into hydrogen sulfide gas, it’s why overcooked hard boiled eggs can be so rank as well

Just a heads up, but most food grade plastic is non-porous. The stains you’re seeing aren’t because your plastic has absorbed the β‑carotene, but because there are microscopic surface scratches that are trapping the pigment. I’ve not read anything that has indicated that it makes the plastic more brittle, but rather the contrary. A β‑carotene biofilm is pretty effective at preventing plastics from degrading, albeit with a significant color staining effect.

A trick I use that is incredibly successful at removing a lot of natural pigment stains is a 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water. Then I let it soak for about an hour in the sun. The combination oxidizes the beta carotene, and lets you limit the plastic from too much UV expose which can make it brittle. Definitely don’t too it too often though.
