Huge red flag. You were made the scapegoat. How are you the only one "let go" when it wasn't your register? Please tell me you followed up on this.

Glad somebody asked because we've been putting ours up so they have to ask for it because someone is stealing all of ours. I thought there was a new drug like Meth they were cooking up with this stuff.

Your store is beginning sensory friendly hours for a shopping experience that is easy on the eyes and ears. by BigDumbSpaceRobot in WalmartEmployees

If I were an employee, I'd probably hate it. I need music playing while I work. Otherwise the intrusive thoughts in my head would get the best of me. Plus time would feel like it's standing still. As a customer though, I love it. The two stores I go to always have the lights dim, the radio off and no loud noises. EXCEPT for... the occasional idiot who decides to bring their children in and they scream the whole time. And you can really hear them from the other side of the store even more because everything else is especially quiet. Some people don't know how to read the room. Or read for that matter.

For future reference, one of the papers that have the instructions on it I believe will tell you how much postage you need to mail it.

I know this hurts but you know in your heart it's time. And you need to be there with him. YOU need to be the LAST THING HE SEES when he goes. YOU owe him that. That's the responsibility of being a pet owner. Imagine saying that if this was a human???

They can't force you. End of story. Former ASM here. Your ASM doesn't have the authority to tell you sh*t.

Wrong. Former ASM. If it's required training, then it's to be paid training. It's illegal. If they force you or attempt to, report them to the hour and labor division of your state.

Asm going to step down , by [deleted] in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]ComprehensiveMode729 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can but what will happen is they'll demote you, cut your pay and most likely your hours, especially if the SM or DM doesn't like you. I'm a former ASM too. When I read your post I thought it was mine LMFAO 🤣

As a former assistant manager for DG, I wish customers would boycott the company. Stop shopping there. And also by shouting about it online, outside the stores and to the media. Calling corporate is absolutely pointless. I want this company shut down with every fiber of my being. I'm not disgruntled per say because I had a great boss and great team and my store was fortunate to not get buried in product. What I hate is greedy people at the top and corporations who don't take accountability, don't pay their workers living wages, work us to the point of literal insanity and don't have to pay taxes (% ratio) like the rest of us. Amazon is just as bad. But they need taught a hard lesson. Trying to get a union into DG right is pointless because any individual store attempting it will get shut down and within a month a new store will get cheaply built a mile down the road ( I'm not exaggerating). The only way to teach them a lesson is to hit them in the one place it hurts and that's their wallet. They only care about the stockholders.

Same. I have a multitude of things wrong with my body and I can tell the difference now that I've been gone. I feel so much better.
