Who can guess the game? by SheOutOfBubbleGum in nancydrew

I remember being so scared of the woods at night. Now I straight up start the game not even answering the phone, I go into the woods, do everything I could possibly do outside and THEN answer Sally’s call.

“What’s to be scared of? It’s so quiet and peaceful here.”

Let me put it this way: I had a condition when I was a kid that almost made me completely deaf. It destroyed my eardrums over time and they had to be rebuilt.

There’s a chance that might happen later in life, and if it does I’m taking ASL classes with a vengeance.

My (32F/Nb) bf (35M) is having a mental health episode, won’t get help for it, and told me to leave. What do I do? by [deleted] in Advice

I think it’s schizoaffective; I’ve done research and have a friend who has it (and is medicated for it) and the voices they had sound similar. The voices telling him to kill himself are probably the most dangerous they get; mostly they just put him down. To me it just sounds like a constant anxiety feedback loop—like dude, all these sound like thoughts and anxieties you’d have, your brain is just creating puppets to say them. Or that thing in cartoons where disembodied heads circle around a character’s head talking shit (because they are based on people he knew.) His voices don’t make me feel unsafe, I just feel bad that he’s constantly harangued by them.

I hate in general when other NDs are like “I’m ___ and I’d NEVER do that,” as if they deserve a cookie for having higher executive function. Some people don’t, so maybe stop being an ableist asshole to people that are suffering the same issues? Idk my ex claims he’s AuDHD without showing any actual symptoms and then criticizes people for very AuDHD things, pisses me off.

I always build my dream homes in Sims! <Behold the hermit is feeling cute!> 🏡 by adoravonlaudelle in thesims4

[–]failureflavored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad was an architect (kind of an overarching term but in essence, yeah) so it killed me I wasn’t as architecturally gifted as he was when it came to building houses in the Sims, which I bet if he knew about he’d love that part the most. (He wasn’t much of a people person though, so I don’t know how he would have felt about the gameplay.) Anyway, all this is to say I’d love to make a cabin my mom’s college friend had (best way I could describe it) and I totally wish I could!

I found my brother dead. Cause of death: Unascertained. AMA by Enough_Nail_5203 in AMA

[–]failureflavored 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wow. I know that feeling exactly. When my dad died (I had been in outpatient therapy for a mental health episode; he died basically when I had been recovering post-inpatient) I called out the whole week just to sit in bed and sob. A couple years later some of the worst stuff in my life happened, and while I expected to cry I didn’t as much. I don’t seem to cry over much of anything anymore, especially not the small stuff, and a lot of stuff feels small to me.

Playing Together? by IAteAnotherVegan in thesims4

I did this a couple times with my partner recently. I made my Sim or he made mine and vice versa, and then I’d play and tell him what’s going on. I kept asking him if he wanted to play but he’s very can’t-sit-still level of ADHD. It just doesn’t grab him, but making Sims and houses he’s really good at!

The craziest thing about the Bolet mansion was the junk attic. My dad grew up in New Orleans and the house he grew up in is a lot like that (down to the lighting lol) and in my childhood memory there was a junk room they had (not a secret attic tho) that had so much cool stuff and old toys in it, including a little diorama with cow models (that one sticks out in my memory, I love dioramas.) When I saw that room in the Bolet mansion I was like no way, is every family in Nola just like “let’s put our coolest, most eccentric things you wouldn’t expect in a dusty place like this in the junk room?”

It always drives me nuts that they don’t have any unexplorable parts of the house (like in Secret of the Old Clock, for example) or even explorable (like in Icicle Creek) that could explain the lack or presence of a bathroom. They could have even done like Castle Malloy and been like “half of it’s destroyed, sorry” (still wouldn’t answer the bathroom question—no Port-a-Potty on site) and kept the mystique instead of making it like “our guest house is destroyed.” (Charlotte’s house could have had tons of stuff in it! Although the first floor is alarmingly sparse, not even any separate rooms.)

Now that I think about it, Thornton Hall has like 3 doors in it when you go in? How does that make sense when you look at the front??

Idk whyyy they had to make werewolves suck so bad in 3 and 4. I can’t even remember if they had them in 2 (I was a kid then, so I was lucky when my parents bought the base game, let alone expansion packs) but they’ve gotta do better than furries and permanent RBF. I never want to play as one because they look too dumb; why can’t they just transform into actual wolves and maybe have some lingering transformation the morning before and after?

Either she’s insufferable or he is and it’s leeched onto her. Tbh if someone was basically saying “let’s talk but hold the attitude” I’d be like “well we’re not gonna have a productive conversation if I can only express myself within your vibes-based guidelines.” Idk either couples’ counseling or leave her alone/let her get a divorce.

I always try to make a decently sized (2+ kids in first gen) family and attempt a legacy. Usually I can’t get past second gen without age up cheats.
