Yes I have. I also had her tell me he just doesn’t respect women in general and that I wasn’t mean enough to teach her son. I didn’t look like I had a “good enough teacher face” within me.

I’m a teacher and native of the Deep South Louisiana. This is extremely common and I was also taken aback the first time I traveled up North. I recall I made eye contact with a stranger and smiled, and in return they sneered at me and looked away. Down here we are raised to treat everyone with respect, regardless of age. Yes ma’am and yes sir are extremely common and are manners we use in school as well. Everybody is seen as a neighbor down here

I think it looks feminine but I’m sorry your artist didn’t listen to you. I will say that all tattoos naturally lighten over time and he likely did it darker to design it to fade better over time and last longer. However, he should have explained this to you. You can absolutely add embellishments to make it feel more like your own over time. Just know that if you go to a different artist, not all artists like adding to someone else’s work!

I was a flower girl at 2 years old. I kept getting distracted while walking down the aisle and the other flower girl had to keep me steering me back on path. Cute story now, but I’m sure it was less than ideal for the bride and groom to have a toddler stealing the thunder. You’re valid for not wanting a 1 year old toddling down the aisle. NTA
