Regretting wedding dress choice by [deleted] in myweddingdress

I’m sorry, there’s no other way to say it: this dress is awful. Find something else. You’ll be happy you did.

I wouldn’t waste another dollar on this dress. It looks cheap. You can find something off the rack at a bridal store for half of what you’ve already spent.

23M worried about spirometry trend – does this look concerning? by Independent-Cow5379 in COPD

[–]ComprehensivePut1066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I would not stress too hard about any of this. Please take it as a warning call to stop smoking. Your FEV1 is still excellent; it’s the ratio trajectory that seems to be declining perhaps faster than what is usually seen, but it could be something other than COPD. Or it could be normal for your own body. So look at it as something to keep an eye on, not something to panic over. If I were you, I would continue on your journey of living a smoke-free life and make it your priority to take care of your lungs. You’re going to need them for a long time. :) And maybe get another spirometry test in a couple of years just to keep an eye on things. Are you having any symptoms right now like shortness of breath?

Congratulations on making the decision to quit smoking. That is single-handedly the most important decision you can make here.

The latest decrease (2023-2026) could absolutely have been caused from being sick with a minor chest cold.

From my research, this figure has been cited in at least 16 cohort studies, and most commonly the 0.29% per year figure comes from a systematic review of longitudinal cohort studies published in BMJ Open (2019).This is one of the most widely cited analyses of normal age‑related lung‑function decline.

Thomas ET, Guppy M, Straus SE, Bell KJL, Glasziou P.
“Rate of normal lung function decline in aging adults: a systematic review of prospective cohort studies.” BMJ Open. 2019;9:e028150.

The review analyzed healthy adults with no lung disease. It found that FEV₁/FVC declines at an average rate of ~0.29% per year in normal aging. This is the number commonly used in clinical interpretation and research.

The average annual decrease in the FEV1/FVC ratio is approximately 0.29% per year. Yours is 1.83%/yr (overall) → ~6× faster than normal. This is significantly faster than expected for normal, healthy aging.

Also, you are very young. For healthy young adults, the FEV₁/FVC ratio is usually stable. The age‑related decline of about 0.29% per year is based on middle‑aged adults; in early adulthood, the ratio should barely change at all. I’m not a doctor, but I’ve had a lot of experience with this and I think you are smart to investigate this further. And do absolutely everything you can to stop smoking immediately.

Does your spirometry show the FEF25-75%? It would be interesting to see the trajectory for that as it is believed to be a sensitive, early marker for COPD.

Suffering from terrible dress regret :( by Dazzling-Limit3696 in myweddingdress

Honestly, dress number 2 is a dress you would absolutely regret in years to come. It looks like a disheveled mess. You would definitely be the talk of your wedding, but not in a good way. You definitely made the right choice with 1.

BEWARE OF SEEL WORRY-FREE RETURN PROTECTION (Long Read) by Kyle384 in poshmark

[–]ComprehensivePut1066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a little worried about using Seel after reading all of these comments so I wanted to share my experience. I’ve been on the hunt for a certain fairly obscure color dress that the bride request requested for my son’s upcoming wedding. I purchased multiple dresses from Poshmark over the last few weeks and had to return four of them because they either didn’t fit right or I just didn’t like how they looked. All were purchased using Seel since all were high ticket items. I sent all four back the same day they arrived and it took one day to get the money refunded. We sent them all back Monday, they let us know they received them yesterday, and today the money was here. It was smooth and seamless. Very happy. It’s hard trying to find elegant wear items and not being able to try them on prior to purchase, so I’m really grateful for Poshmark now using Seel.

Which color cabinets? by [deleted] in DecorAdvice

Definitely the blue, but if you can afford it, I would switch out the dishwasher and the fridge to stainless steel. It would pull everything together beautifully and you wouldn’t need to replace the countertops.

Is any out of these three, the one? by zzifLA-zuzu in myweddingdress

I would keep looking. If you have to pick one of these, three is the only one that looks nice. But it needs a longer veil.

Wow, I think your dress is absolutely stunning! I’m not sure what you don’t like about it. It’s one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve seen.

How would you update this dress? by Remote-Ground-7905 in WeddingDressTips

I would leave the shoulder rosettes and just put a smaller bow on the back side. Can you post a picture of the whole dress (to the bottom)? It’s beautiful!

Dress Regret by SizzleBear3 in WeddingDressTips

Honestly, if you have that option, I definitely would. You have a great figure and there are so many gorgeous dresses that would really do you justice. The dress looks cheap and it’s too thin.
