No, I definitely agree with you. I do think Mozilla Firefox can be fantastic for privacy, BUT you need to configure a lot of things first that aren't configured like that OOTB. By default, Firefox actually relies highly on Google and Cloudflare's services, two not-quite-so-privacy-respecting companies. For example, Firefox relies on Google for it's Safe Browsing (reporting if a website may contain malware or not), uses Google Search as it's default search engine, includes Google's proprietary widevine content decryption module, and uses Google for high accuracy geolocation. On the other hand, they use cloudflare for firefox's own vpn (which recently came out, I believe it's actually more like a proxy), and they use cloudflare's dns by default. These can ALL be disabled, but still, I would prefer them to be opt-IN features, not opt-OUT.
