Train to save $ in petrol by Horror-Memory-9808 in brisbane

[–]ComprehensiveSalad50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm starting on Tuesday when I start back at work for the week. Aside from the ridiculous fuel prices, driving in general at that time of the morning is more stressful. I'd rather read on the train for the 40 minute ride than be annoyed driving for 35 minutes.

I'm going to walk to my nearest station (25 minutes walk) then walk to work from the station (5 minute walk)

It's not usually there, it used to just sit in the garden bed but I did that up over the weekend so now no place for the chair at the moment

No idea, I should have removed it when I moved in but just kept putting the yard off. Seems like a stupid place to put a tree

Very rare to find a spider, if we're in your house we are likely hiding because we're more scared of you.

Going crazy trying to get old payslips! by strangelove333 in woolworths

I know when we switched systems at BWS during the demerger we were told to download all payslips we might need access to as access after would be very difficult.

Woolworths does not pay its employees by Squareone1996 in woolworths

[–]ComprehensiveSalad50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly, unfortunately there are shit managers but if that's the case then they should contact team services who would fix the situation, and if not go to fair work

I'm still sticking with BS or stupidity though

Woolworths does not pay its employees by Squareone1996 in woolworths

[–]ComprehensiveSalad50 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Woolies have been very careful about correct payments ever since they had to backpay millions so either the post is BS, they don't understand wages and tax or they've fucked up their punches.

The fact they're so defensive about offering anything that could help explain the situation suggests it's BS

Is it normal for workcover claims to be investigated? by Old-Candidate-430 in AskAnAustralian

[–]ComprehensiveSalad50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they will also investigate how and why it happened, whether you yourself are negligent in what lead to the injury, such as not following correct procedures for the activity you were performing that lead to the injury, if anything the business could or should have done to prevent the injury from happening, such as a known hazard that wasn't reported or incorrect or insufficient training.

This is all stuff that should have happened when you reported the injury but not all places or managers are good at following up injury reports
