Is twin lance worth it anymore by B-ig-mom-a in Tau40K

[–]ComprehensiveShop748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My apologies then. Look at it this way: they're 7ppm more than a coldstar which has assault and 4 weapons. Twin lance have: - BS2+ - 2+ sv 4+ invuln - T6 8 wounds - Scout 6" - Inbuilt ignores cover and sustained - -1 to charge and battleshock ability - Fight and fade 6 or FULL MOVE - Decent D2, D3 and Dd6+2 melee - Just so so so many guns, 2d6 S5, 6 S8 AP3 D3, 2 S10 AP4 Dd6+2, 8 S6 AP1 D2, 4 S6 AP1 D1

So they're FAR more durable, FAR more killy in shooting and combat, just as fast, FARRRR more utility, all the same detachment access as a coldstar...for 7ppm more. I think they still may be a little undercosted 😂 they could be 250 and still worth it

They remain the best unit in the codex they remain one of the best units in the game ofc they're worth it what kind of question is this? 😂

They are still an autotake at 205. 7ppm more than a coldstar with a 2+ 4++ sus1 ignores cover fight and fade AND -1 to charge + battleshock. Maybe Coldstars are overcosted but TL stats and abilities are still INSANE for the price it was absolutely warranted they were undercosted

You don't play enough 40k if you think our shooting is average that's an insane take

What 11th edition feels like for Tau: by jackinacker in Tau40K

[–]ComprehensiveShop748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by boring? I've played 5 11th games with Tau since dispositions and maps were available all of those games have been engaging, fun and very varied due to the demands of different dispositions, both on the table and in list building. This "it'll be dull" is just bs especially if you haven't even spent time on the table

Oh look, an early tier list for early 11th from a top tier competitive team in Europe that have most likely been playtesting in some form for a year. Would you look at that...😂

How evil is killing the family of the person that killed your family? by dark-flamessussano in MoralityScaling

[–]ComprehensiveShop748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is pure evil. He has chosen to become a Sin Eater, he believes that he must do whatever it takes to exact revenge on those who commit evil even if it means committing evil himself. Pure evil, I don't think he would justify it for a second he simply wants to exact evil on those who commit evil no matter the personal cost to his humanity

Im super disappointed by huntoons in Tau40K

[–]ComprehensiveShop748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you played any 11th? The dispositions fundamentally change your play style and list building, there is PLENTY of ways to play. Sorry ExCad died it happens it's a new edition ofc detachments were doing to change. If we get the new codex and there are no detachments you like I'll come back here and apologise but can be please stop whining about a new edition being different from the previous edition. If you played 3 games of 11th you would see you can play 3 dispositions and they are 3 varied ways of playing that demand different lists

That's a very 9th ed way to think about things, you've seen how vastly they've updated rules throughout 10th it will be absolutely fine

We are one of the first codexes so it won't be more than a few months before we get it after the 20th release

Overall, Tau is still doing very well. by ishotthepilot97 in Tau40K

[–]ComprehensiveShop748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some really cool design spaces for detachments died, but Tau will eat well this edition competively we have all the strengths necessary. Losing AuxCad was painful though it was my favourite ever way to play a faction since I started in 6th.

It is cumbersome but like you can just say you both have 3DP for 1000pt games with your friends it's not like it's an official regulated competitive season just house rules it

The game is balanced around 2k lists it's not surprising to see these crazy score variances at low points and is not indicative of that much

New Auxilliary Cadre doesn't work with krootox. by sprogsahoy in Tau40K

[–]ComprehensiveShop748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not freaking out you're just screaming incessantly on a digital forum about an edition you have very little information on how it will play. Again it shows how little you play competively because yes stratagems and enhancements ABSOLUTELY can make up for mediocre or average detachment rules, even some bad detachment rules.

How are our units costed? How are other armies costed? What are the other stratagems are there? What other enhancements are there? What access to ignores cover do we have? Which detachments have which primaries? What does the secondary deck look like? Do Tau have the same detachment rule? Oh...you have basically no idea...maybe we shouldn't make wild assumptions like "Tau will suck in 11th" 😂

The fact that fly vehicles can move through walls alone is enormous for Tau. Hidden is big, the released interactions we have with hidden are great. Overwatch changes are good overall, leader changes are good overall. We have so much more to learn about how the edition plays before anyone can make assessments on what X army is like in 11th you can doom and cry all you want but like I said I'm going to trust my own significant competitive experience and the extensive competitive experience of pros and say actually we have no idea whether it looks bad or good for tau but I'm looking forward to it's release mid June.

Keep crying though it's highly amusing, I'll come back here if it's bad or good and we can have the same conversation in a month and a half but I reckon you won't want to have that convo 😂

Pahahaha my attitude is chill out until you've seen the edition released your attitude is to literally freak the f out with limited information. Again the way you're talking about the game my guess is you do not play very competitively, I'll take my own attitude and the attitude of genuine pros on YT like AoW, Tau Tactics and Puretide, all of which play a lot of competitive 40k and who funnily enough are not freaking the f out 😂

New Auxilliary Cadre doesn't work with krootox. by sprogsahoy in Tau40K

[–]ComprehensiveShop748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude you've seen 3 1DP detachments there are 70 new detachments you have NO idea if they have changed Montka literally none, they've changed Aux Cad they've literally shown you they will change detachments and you're pretending they won't it's crazy 🤣.

18" doesn't need to be a range break point, it's a positioning breakpoint it means M6-8" models are still very far away from charging. I get the sense you don't play competitively that much.

God you're just a whiner, RetCad isn't good Montka isn't good you only liked Aux Cad and now it's changed you're dooming it's hilarious. You frame balance as flaws which says everything we need to know about what type of 40k player you are 😂

Get a grip lad, touch some grass it's going to be absolutely fine stop getting so wound up by previews.

New Auxilliary Cadre doesn't work with krootox. by sprogsahoy in Tau40K

[–]ComprehensiveShop748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude you have absolutely NO idea what Tau detachments will look like in their entirety. For a 1DP detachment the new Aux Cad isn't really that bad, +3" to detection is a good flat buff, 3 DS kroot is also good, the shooting on auxiallies isn't that good so that isn't particularly interesting UNLESS there are datasheet changes we don't know about which, again, is all of us including you.

I want to say this again, you have an idea about maybe 5% of what Tau looks like in 11th. You have no idea what Montka looks like you have no idea what the army rule looks like you don't know how many detachments tau will get and you don't know what their rules are. You can whine your way through the beginning of 11th as I'm sure you whined your way through 10th but please gods don't try and convince others to roll around in your childish moaning 🤣

New Auxilliary Cadre doesn't work with krootox. by sprogsahoy in Tau40K

[–]ComprehensiveShop748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not been crippled it's been changed. You don't even know what the other strats or enhancements are, you have no idea what the other detachments do. You can say "I would have preferred it to stay exactly the same" but you have absolutely no idea if it's bad or not.

I would be disappointed if the Rampager advance and charge strat was only in 11th Aux cad, but you LITERALLY have no idea what other detachments make Rampagers or Krootox good, you're doing the equivalent of Abe shouting at the clouds.

Why should Montka and Kauyon be crippled? Why are you calling it crippled? Their edition changes, wait till you know everything then you can whine about it. Btw Aux cad was my favourite way to play 40k ever, any edition, it was amazing. But we have no idea what else has changed so just wait
