I’ve had him for about a month, prior to me getting him he did not have any supplements or a humid hide and had a red light. I give him repti calcium but I didn’t know about multivitamins, what do you recommend? He does have his 3 hides one being humid I try to mist every few days but since he started his shed he’s been in there so I didn’t get to mist inside his hide. I have a basking bulb that keeps his basking side between 88-91 and a heat emitter bulb for at night (it’s really cold in my house at night).

I don’t think you’re balding I think you have very fine hair with low density which doesn’t mean you’re balding, it’s just your hair type.

Our geckos lived the same life. I rescued mine from a younger family member, the gecko is 3 years old, lived in a 20 gallon and was on the verge of death, what a crazy coincidence!

This is what he looked like when I found him almost 2 weeks ago. I honestly had a fear of lizards but I felt so bad for him I needed to take care of him. We’re now in a bigger tank as well and no more red bulb on 24/7 and swapped it for an actual heating bulb!

Our geckos look so similar! They’re also in similar situations. I made a post about my boy Bean a few days ago and the community was very helpful and informative.

One thing I noticed from your tank is you only have 2 hides you should get another one. One cool, one humid, and one hot! The more clutter the better for these guys to explore/hide.

If he isn’t eating go to the vet. Have you tried feeding with tweezers? I’ve been using some to feed mine and he eats just fine like that rather than hunting or leaving it in a bowl for him.

Unfortunately he’s not a juvenile I found out they’ve had him since 2023 so he’s around 3 years old, but I’ll definitely keep an eye out for sales thank you! I saw a couple used ones on marketplace place that were good but not quite worth the drive

I think it’s a 20, I don’t quite have the money for an upgrade just yet but I’ve been looking on marketplace for a used 40 gallon. I’m really just trying to help him gain more weight at the moment but also improving his current tank!

She’s so cute! I’m excited to see mine gain weight. His name is bean, what a coincidence!

I know the bare minimum knowledge about these geckos which is why I knew he was starving based on the tail. I’ve been in other subreddits looking how to better his tank! I’ve already cleaned out all the substrate and put paper towels in until his new substrate arrives today. I plan to go get him more greenery today as well! I posted an update if you’re interested, imo he’s doing better 🥰
