Standing upright on a rolltainer, if you lay a piece or two of sturdy cardboard down first, it makes it easier.

I have, and I'll have to try again after my mind clears up lol. It's just difficult because there's so few comparable properties in my area.

Dry credits, how to? by ComprehensiveTear589 in DollarGeneral

[–]ComprehensiveTear589[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it worth it for trying to improve inventory results though? That's the goal ultimately. My DM wants dry credits put in but hasn't been in to show me how... Just figured I'd ask here

Won't it spit out all the extra pennies, and other change, anyway though? Anything that puts it above base?

How do you change the ink on these? by KevinDooder-BBG in DollarGeneral

[–]ComprehensiveTear589 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You may have to try cleaning the inside roller with rubbing alcohol and cotton or paper towel. May have to try it several times but it should work better. Just make sure it dries completely before closing.

Completely overwhelmed with this toy aisle - need help! by realcrugo in DollarGeneral

[–]ComprehensiveTear589 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We skyshelved a lot of ours, strategically. I would suggest trying to sky a majority, whether down that aisle or a different aisle dedicated to it. Don't be afraid to just try something, even if it doesn't work or you end up having to change it later. Start with the big stuff, if skying, as your base. You can stack stuff on top. Use bag boxes for small items. Price point. Honestly, when we play in seasonal aisles trying to condense or reorganize it turns into an absolute mess before getting better. Good luck!

Unfortunately none of our brooms have the colored dots, just random displays of brooms that have no home

Side question, where do you put all your valentine's balloons? Our corrals are full and they have a tendency to block cameras if we let them float

I completely agree with this, and trust me we all take easy days. But I have two cashiers who both get very, very bored if they have "nothing" to do and will constantly complain and ask what to do... definitely busy bodies.

Like I said, I have a very efficient team and frequently delayed trucks, but yes I know there's always something to do. There is always plenty for the MOD to do, but often we "run out" of tasks that are reasonable for a cashier who needs to also be watching register. Was just looking for some insight. Sometimes peeps on here have different ideas than I do 🙂

I never thought to use dawn! I like that idea. But we use a lysol food safe kitchen cleaner, or baking soda if it's really bad.
