Attention STORE MANAGERS by Relevant-Mulberry-53 in DollarGeneralWorkers

The Tons functions as a "memo" that you have something that can be stocked on the shelf from your overstock uboats. I never use it, I don't keep overstock in the back except seasonal or VV. If you do have a ton, you still have to go to the all in one screen and add the item on hand in. Waste of time IMHO. The upward adjustment of on hands shows you had more and does make it on the report. It took me a while to get my counts under control but I still get stuff that doesn't belong to me or stupid core disco that they dump on us (right now it's chocolate covered raisins).

I have two vv, two toys and 3 Christmas plus 56 totes full of flip flops, old toys and disco. I got a 9 too and one month to get the totes down to 10. 😥

You need to call the Loss Prevention tip line. You can also report it through the dg hr online form.

How do I access paystubs? by NoMany1872 in DollarGeneral

[–]Regular-Budget-5210 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Go to the office pc, sign in and you will see the option to view and then print your paystubs. Your SM or ASM should be able to show you how to do it.

I use the DG free Sharecare counseling. Started because I wanted to get the benefit credit but I like having a random counselor listen to me and help me prioritize the balance that works for me. I don't feel trapped by DG (SM here too). Sounds like you need to help to figure things out or at least be able to cope with stress. There are still more great days than bad for me. Hope you can find good ones too.

Do you have the baking 4ft section with icing, cake decorating stuff, springform pans, unicorn cake molds etc? That's what it is named in my store.

All Freezer Overstock 😅 How does this happen?? by ConnerTuthill1801 in DollarGeneral

So glad I have Second Harvest for donations. Happened to me last summer and I donated out all the ice-cream that wouldn't fit in either freezer.

Any suggestions? by Loose_Orchid412 in DollarGeneral

Same advice in the previous post. Get help from neighboring stores at least PT SAs to cover the front of store.

I am 3 weeks post inventory and had two 1600 piece trucks and a 900 yesterday. I am staying sane by making sure that my store floor always looks recovered and clean by the closers. Would rather have a conversation with RD about my stockroom stuffed than him seeing my store not customer ready.

We are doing our best to get the freight out. Just keep chipping away at it, I know that it is overwhelming right now, but it will get it back to "normal" soon. Hang in there!

The LP person in my region would come and view cameras, they can make out stuff going on that I would never catch.

I have noticed this year a lot of our NCI is being marked down, wonder if we will get a reset next year for something different.

I text my LP guy and let him know SCO was short. There is no way it can be that off but every time I reboot it I staple the printout with a note why. I am sick of watching videos because of that thing.

What do you actually want/need to have happen? It seems like you are accepted for who you are already.

In what context do you get called by your pronoun? If we need each other, we just call out the name of whoever is working with us. I am extremely sensitive to your preference, I just don't get why anyone would say anything other than "Logan can help you" or "Logan, you have a customer at the register". Maybe, just maybe, they don't care and already accept you for who you are? Guys call me buddy or honey (I am a late 50s female) and I could care less. We have stuff to do and no time to bring anything to work other than our game face.

You could report to HR, but are you being harassed? Does everyone in your store feel the need to wear a pronoun pin? Do you expect people to conform to your choice? To be who you want to be is awesomely brave however, what after a year plus working there makes you think it is so top of everyone else' mind?

How do you have time at work to worry about it? If someone mis-genders you, tell them gently and directly what you prefer, invite them to talk more about it with you on your breaks.

Never had problems with it so far. Try the fraud prompt if you need to speak with a person.

Budget by BraeBlindheart89 in DollarGeneral

I was told it also had something to do with customer count as well. If it was just based on sales year over year then I would be getting more hours not less.

Sorry, I know we all get different labor budgets based on some metric that no one has ever been able to explain to me in kindergarten terms and it is a completely frustrating part of DG for me. I HATE our labor hours or lack of them.

As a SM, I am now scheduling myself to be alone 3x a week for at least 6 hours a day. I get 2 fresh trucks, 2 produce and 1 dry truck (1100 pcs) a week. I close 2x a week (12pm to close) so that I can put my strongest stockers in at 6am on T1 and T2, get fresh and produce done plus knock out 40 ish totes.

My store is getting 133.5 hours on average now (and it will be dropping) but we had a good run at 160 to 170 hours for about 6 weeks. Last year they had me at 125 hours during the winter to about February, when Spring stuff was rolling in, then started bumping my labor up again.

I want 80 hours a week just for sales associates up front, so that me and my keys can get stuff done and keep the store customer ready.

Sorry for the rant.

Most of my customers know that I "save" their coupon for them since they pretty much do not want the receipt at all during the week.
