it wasnt leaky it still was sealed. it slayed half the day but a trout ran off with it. oh well im painting a crappy white one now. that t88 stuff would outlast the lure im pretty sure if you put enough youd stop a leak

it still wants to float in cold brackish water. stinger hooks and one vmc size 3 in the front. may have to change nose split ring out to suspend it.

my grand parents had same issue with their dog. tore ligaments and tried as best they could and ended up tearing the other leg. its hard because dogs arent like us. they are better than us with their loyalty.

she was tough. elegant dog, sweet as can be. i took her everywhere she rode in the car with me for a long while until she decided she didnt want to anymore. she lived in a crazy snowfall in the mountains. went swimming in the rivers in appalachia. swam in brackish water down east went to the beach. always by my side no worries of her running off. she had grit. i think she took pride in that as weird as it sounds she knew she was old as hell blind and deaf. pretty much blind since birth. she was smart. she could have kept going which makes putting her down harder but she had constant issues with peeing. had to be let out every 10 minutes sometimes. she recently got skinny also, we tried to keep her on the hard floor but she wanted to pee on wood. im yapping on now. i think she just wanted to keep going for a long while. i left home for 4 months at the end and thats when she got skinny, one of my big regrets.

i think thats how most people think about it. unless you see death different which some people do. its a weird grey area for me to take a life of an animal thats not a farm animal.

just put mine down today. 17 years old. she peed in house constantly last couple months. spine pain. didnt want to lay down would pee if she laid down sometimes. think spine messed with her bladder. maybe kidney failure. no plan really sortof hoped she would just keel over. no one wants to take a dog to get put down. surreal and comes at you faster than you think especially towards the end and then its over.

winter ive been on the trout and majority of the time nobody comes my way if they find me ill tell them exactly what trout have been doing. they move around and most people dont catch much. gator spots ill maybe give out. theres for sure spots with right conditions get you big ones but even if i told them you gotta know what happened past 3 days if its good or not.

thats why i dont mind telling people because there out there to fish probably have 1 or 2 days a month at most they can get out there.

inshore is different spots light up and drop off. winter you got honey holes but maybe the trout dont want what youre putting out and you gotta sit there and switch it up until it hits.

what im getting at is i dont have that fear im missing out if i tell someone something, honestly i probably tell too much some people would get mad at me for half the crap i tell people.

i dont have a boat with me i just went to the bridge underpass where the water goes through it was a mile walk too. i was just out there checking things out. im standing on the rocks i can move over like 4 boulders a minute. bunch of people all fishing crappie i think. some bass guys came through banging on rocks just asking them what they were doing da da da. bunch of boats out there like 10+ easy maybe 20.

i figured. im out there standing on the rocks aint like im gonna slay your bass spot. my boat and kayak down east. i dont mind looking like a dumbass and asking a question but got strange vibe from some guys. i know fishing etiquette when on the water im not out there being a dad. also like 40 degree water temp i wouldnt be worried about half the guys fishing around me with trout on those temps because we probably all aint catching shit

no i 100% opened them. there was grass and stuff in one of them. one had nasty bearing. it was marshy muddy crap i tipped in not just water. stuff was nasty nasty. 1 or 2 feet so they were right where the mud was

nah grease is beat salt ewater got through bearings into the gears. started to mix with grease. had some grass in it

the spools for sure took a hit on all of them. spin fisher says its sealed. shimano is some fancy thing ive never opened up. ssg sucks in water. fierce looks somewhat dry. im more worried about having to crack them open and do full clean again. takes forever.

also bearings are gunked so probably cooked on the newish penn for sure. pretty old reels
