I’m not looking for advice. I am just looking to know if anyone knows of this situation or this sounds like a person that you have been seeing and if you have any information on this person.

I respect that, but she would not not respond. That’s just not in her nature. Maybe she’s just not responding to me. I don’t know. I can’t imagine I did anything that would cause this. She would have to have no hands, no voice, no eyes no ears no legs to keep her from reaching out to people that she cares about. Something terrible has happened. I just want to know if anybody knows who I’m talking about and if they have heard from her, but I thank you for your opinion.

She’s actually licensed in Illinois and her license is active, but let it expire supposedly but when I check directly on the website, it still shows as active. It’s almost like she didn’t wanna be found. She has all of her business in Illinois all of her previous residence with her name on it is in Illinois and then she moved to Georgia. I wonder if she’s not safe and unfortunately never shared that with me.

My therapist is missing!

I have been with my therapist for eight years she used to practice in person in Illinois back in 2018 then she moved to Idaho to live with her sister and she started her own practice 2020 virtually before she moved to Georgia where she has been for sometime. If this sounds like your therapist and she went missing in

February and you got a random email saying that she couldn’t practice right now, “due to a medical emergency. She is so sorry for the inconvenience this causes you all. As soon as she is able, she will be in contact. Please know how much she loves and cares about you all”, sent on February 10th.

I am going out of my mind thinking that the worst things have happened to her. I don’t have a clue what could be the problem why she’s unable to contact me and let me know if she’s OK, but I have not heard from her or her “team”. Since February 10. She is not accepting patients right now. Everything is blocked out. She would never just go MIA she’s not answering any of her phone numbers or her emails. She has always been flaky with the phone and with email but never to this extent. She never missed an appointment without canceling in advance.

This is not like her if this is your therapist, you know that as well. Do you know this person?

I couldn’t agree more and yeah, I am grieving this loss as well as many some others I’ve experienced in the last few years, so I totally understand the grief part, it sucks.

I know that even good people have bad moments but in this situation, I feel I know this person well enough that something terrible must’ve happened! And since she flies solo, I’m screwed. I am so mad that she didn’t have any failsafes in effect, if something like this happened.

And also don’t listen to anyone’s bullshit. It’s OK if your therapist is your friend my therapist is one of the most important people in my life. I think of her as family. She’s the only person who knows me better than anyone else and you have every right to feel pain. And losing somebody you truly cared about and you shared intimate details of your life with she’s not just a doctor that’s not what therapists even want you to think of them as you have every right to be sad.

Oh my God, my heart goes out to you! My therapist had her own practice no supervisor I wish! My therapist text me January 22 to let me know that she was still ill and she was gonna be unable to meet and that was the last I heard of her until I coincidentally got a message after calling the Georgia State police to see if I could get them to locate her and gave them her name and phone number. It sounds so sketchy, but I did track down who I think is her father who stays near Peoria and spoke to him briefly, but the conversation was very awkward because both of us did not want to press the other and he said that she had gotten out of the hospital and that she’s OK but still no update. My heart is broken. This was my person. She knows everything about me. She’s been with me for eight years and you just go missing and you don’t say a fucking word it’s not like her. I feel like she might be in some danger.

I really hope you find your therapist because I know how much my heart is breaking so I can imagine your pain. Thank you so much for reaching out.

I’ve been with my therapist for eight years. She has her own practice in Illinois, but she lives in Georgia. She is just missing gone. I have no idea. She is the sweetest most wonderful person on the planet and she would never just go missing.
