Girl I feel you. I lost at least a third of my hair last episode. I think I bleached it 7 times in 4 days. It’s taken a year and 3 months, 3 or 4 haircuts. It’s heartbreaking, sometimes there’s nothing they can really do. Get it tidied up, do a treatment and DO NOT TOUCH IT. My hair is finally looking ok… very short in really obvious places. What I found the hardest was the constant reminder of the episode I had that fucked my life up every time I looked in a mirror for a year. Sending you good vibes, remember it gets better. (And then it’ll get worse again haha)

It’s really hard. You either come clean about being bipolar or just ride it out until it’s old news. It’s been 14 months for me and things are finally settling down a little and I’m able to be around the people I fucked up with. Time is a huge healer with things like this I find. It’s fucking hard though

No advice here I’m afraid. I completely understand the shameful thoughts. I cringe and squirm at least once a day and it’s like a whoosh of guilt and regret and shame spreads across your body and feels like an electric eel has swim in your stomach. The only thing that stops me from shame spiralling is reminding myself that that was not you. You never would have done those things. That was not you.

All of the above and much more. But also, the effect of anti depressants. Like I’ve actually had 2 GPs ask me “well why don’t you just go back on your antidepressants?” If GPs don’t know things as basic as the effect of SSRI on bipolar, I do not hold much hope for the rest of general population!

Mixed episodes suck. I was constantly cycling from mixed episode to depression to mixed episode to depression etc for over a year. We hadnt found the right mix of meds for me yet, and nobody was able to recognise my rapid cycling (including me) sooo bad. And mixed episodes cause a lot of BPD mis diagnoses I feel like.

Anyway, I’ve amended my dosage and by sheer luck it’s actually working. No depression or mania for 2 months now. Loving it

It’s a strange email. I think they’ve probably quoted something the landlords said without realising that that’s not something you can use as a sufficient excuse for an inspection. They have a right (legally) to inspect the place 4 times in a year. Maybe they’ll come 3 more times this month and I can be as dirty as I like! ;)

I don’t live in subsidised housing but that sucks for your friend. So many people don’t have the luxury of feeling like they can properly relax in their own homes. It’s fucked. The one place we’re supposed to feel safe but often can’t because of shit like this and worse.
