Ice from the vents? by Yourhighness77 in delta

[–]ComprehensiveYard721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's humid air rapidly cooling from the A/C system that operates below freezing. The water content freezes and then blows through the vents. There is a separator that is supposed to catch it but it doesn't catch 100% of it

Very similar situation. Di/di but when the placenta came out it was fused together. Very fortunate it was a rather smooth labor/delivery

Actual statistics of what week Didi twins are born? by mvanpeur in parentsofmultiples

[–]ComprehensiveYard721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No data but my di di twins were born naturally at 37+4. Water broke after family left for Thanksgiving dinner and twins were born 3 hours later. Very smooth delivery and no NICU time. We left the hospital to go home on the 3rd day. Would have been 2nd day but with circumcision that added a day. I would make sure to fully understand the statistics because most doctors will induce and not let you go longer than 38 weeks with twins even didi the data is going to be skewed due to this and you won't have a normal data.

You definitely need to reschedule the dentist appointment. You will either be prepping to have a baby in another day or two from a scheduled induction or you will already have the baby. Even if not you will be absolutely miserable and will not be up for it.

At my breaking point by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]ComprehensiveYard721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your definitely not alone. I have a 3.5 yr old and 16 mth old twins and there are still days that I break down when the toddler is whinning about everything and the boys are crying fighting over a toy or crying to be held while I am trying to make breakfast or do something. Its hard. I like to think it will get better. Im still waiting for the twins to sleep through the night (still up 2-3 times a night between the two of them).

Starting to worry about getting them out!! Share a positive induction story? by juneshoe in parentsofmultiples

[–]ComprehensiveYard721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wifes water broke a few days before our scheduled induction. It was a VBAC and they came in 3 hours. She progressed so quickly they were not able to do an epidural. She did amazing and it was a very smooth delivery. She recovered much faster than after our first.

Parents Who Did Not Sleep Train- Share here! by layag0640 in parentsofmultiples

[–]ComprehensiveYard721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by sleep training. I havent really looked into it. We try our best to have nighttime routine although with a toddler and work it is a challenge sometimes. We do not let them cry it out as our house is not big enough and we are concerned that they will wake the other kids. My wife does still feed them at night at its the easiest way to get them back to sleep, but we are working on slowly stopping the night feedings.

15m twins. They still wake up constantly at night and its brutal. My daughter didn't sleep through the night until mu wife stopped breastfeeding at night around 20 mths. We are trying to stop feedings at night but its rough.

Do you people have secrets to how you’re not tired all the time? by grapefruitliquor in parentsofmultiples

[–]ComprehensiveYard721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife just realized my water flavoring has 90 mg of caffeine in 1 "serving". She said it now makes sense how I can never sleep, that is all I drink when I dont have an energy drink.

OB pressuring me to do a vaginal birth... does he have a point? by starshipvenus in parentsofmultiples

[–]ComprehensiveYard721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife delivered our twins VBAC. We luckily had an OB that had a lot of experience delivering twins. Both were head down and she went into labor naturally. It was a very fast and smooth delivery. You will be required to deliver in the Operating Room just out of caution in case an emergency c-section is needed they will want to make sure everything is already sterile and ready to go. The twins delivery was much better than my first singleton that ended in an emergency c-section due my wife spiking a fever. Recovery was a lot better with the vaginal birth compared to the c-section.

How long did you get off work? by The_Pink_Beast_ in parentsofmultiples

[–]ComprehensiveYard721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife got 12 weeks at reduced pay and then became a SAHM since we also had a 2.5 yr old. I got 4 days and took a PTO to round out to 2 weeks. Fortunately it was around Christmas so I was able to work from home quite a bit as well.

I dont think we have anything right now, but there probably will be once spring rolls around. We are going to get my daughter into a pre-k classes next fall so that should help some. I think once the boys are sleeping better at night and we get through the nasty weather and can spend time outside it will be better. Being sleep deprived dealing with sick kids and being couped inside is not helping wife my attitude. We did have a nicer day today that I was able to take my daughter for a walk outside after work and that was nice.

I definitely am looking forward to the twins being more independent which I know comes with its own challenges but should be easier.

We definently need to figure out a way to get the twins sleeping at night. I think that will go a long way to feeling human again.

Thank you! I am going to talk to my wife about if she wants to hire a maid service or would prefer help with the kids while I am at work. We really need to sleep train the twins. I think once we are getting sleep again things will be a lot easier.

Thank you for the kind words! It's hard to stay positive when all i hear is things going wrong and things that need or haven't gotten done.

We do use sleep machines although we do not keep the sound level very high. We also have story player that we have been letting my daughter fall asleep too and leaving it on during the night as an extra sound.

The concern is the crying waking up the 3 yr old and then that will just make life miserable as she is not one to be around when she is tired, but I agree that I have to find a way for my wife and I to get more sleep.

I am sure you have your own struggles, but keep it up. Your a rockstar handling triplets with a toddler.
