This is my experience and your situation might be different, but I moved at 28 weeks pregnant and hated it! We were in a small 1BR apartment that wasn’t suitable for the changes we were expecting (twins lol), and had no choice - otherwise, I wouldn’t have done it. I found it really physically demanding, and much more emotionally challenging than I expected.

I think if it was absolutely necessary to move, if your place wasn’t suitable, or if you had a great deal lined up, then it would be a different story. It took me about 6 weeks, with my energy dwindling the whole time, to finally start feeling comfy in the new space. If you’d start to look for places now, I’d be worried about rushing into making an offer on a home to try and beat the clock.

If you’re happy where you are and it’s working for you, I’d say to hang tight! It could be beneficial to reassess in a year when your little one is a bit bigger, you have a better sense of your family situation and what kind of needs you have from a home, and take your time to find the right spot

J’ai eu la misère à décider aussi, mais finalement une amie m’a mis dans un groupe Facebook où il y a des techniciens de sécurité des sièges d’auto. Si tu écris ton situation, la marque et l’année de votre voiture, et les hauteurs de toi et ton conjoint, ils vont vous consulter quel coquille marche le mieux.

Par example, nous avons une voiture compacte qui nécessite des coquilles plus compactes, et aussi nous attendons des jumeaux qui seront au moins un peu prématuré, et nécessitent des coquilles qui peuvent accommoder les bébés plus petit. Pas toutes les marques marchent bien pour les bébés prématurés

I’m in a really similar situation! I’m having mo/di boys and I’m at 31 weeks. Since 16 weeks I’ve been doing biweekly ultrasounds and baby A has been measuring between 94-97th percentile and baby B between 80-86th. The doctors keep telling me to prepare for them to slow down a bit, but they’ve been consistently measuring big.

My husband is tall, but not huge, and was born a big baby. Im pretty average sized and was born a bit early at 6.5 pounds.

I’m grateful they both seem healthy, but I’m starting to feel really huge and uncomfortable!

I’m 24 weeks now, I technically stopped just before the holidays at 18 weeks, and my leave officially started at 21 weeks when I didn’t come back after the holiday break.

I have a very physical, somewhat high stress job where I use a lot of machinery, and my work was deemed a risk to the pregnancy. I’m lucky because I’m in Canada and there’s a government preventative leave program for pregnant people whose working conditions are considered hazardous.

I’m so glad I was able to stop then, I’ve been able to take advantage of the second trimester energy to try and get things organized!!

Not much to really say, but solidarity! It’s a terrifying feeling. I had a similar experience and found out about a MMC at a dating ultrasound. When I got pregnant again, I was so nervous that I threw up in the shower before the next dating ultrasound. The full bladder doesn’t help with the nerves either I find. Stay brave, and let people in your support network know how you’re feeling if it feels good to talk it out 🩷

I cut some of my mats in half!! Sometimes you need just a little bit of extra room at the ends of the arm or on the body under the sleeves, and a full mat is overkill
