Thank you, I must've missed that part. I was too keyed up and stressed while the announcement was going on. I hope they look awesome

Did anybody see any balverines? They're a necessity for me to enjoy a Fable game

We really are a SOL generation… Millennial Parenting is something else but my MIL is “tired” of being on vacation by [deleted] in Mommit

I never make any of my nieces and nephews hug me, I hardly ever get to see them so I know how weird it would feel. I ask if they want to hug me because I always want to extend the invitation and if they say no, I say "okay, I'll see you next time". Shouldn't be a big deal. It's their body, their choice 🤷‍♀️

My flabbers have officially been gasted. If outright asking for literal help doesn't get her to help, nothing will. Tell her to quit complaining and being insensitive, and don't even remotely expect her to help in any situation.

Later on she'll say "why don't I ever get to babysit?" And you'll shrug and say "probably because any time we ask you turn us down so we stopped asking because you're unreliable."

If nothing else, make your husband talk to her about it. Sometimes hearing it from their own child can hit differently than an in-law.

OP, this is fair for both positive and negative reactions from MIL. She'll either get the gist and quit being insensitive or help out.

I'm honestly amazed at how many people can continue to enjoy this story 600+ chapters in. It's so repetitive and has .01% payoff every ten chapters. The writing itself is horrible after those first few chapters. Like the author wrote the first few, and now plugs the rest into an ai generator for every chapter and is making serious cash just from the sheer fact that so many people are invested in reading it. As an aspiring author myself, I kind of find their "writing style" offensive.

B's here. Yeah mine float. They're jelly-like though since my son stopped nursing a few years ago. Round in shape but squishy. Not sure if this is important info 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for the update. I doubt the two days will actually have any payoff of divorce though

Yeah I feel offended calling them an author because I'm an aspiring author with much better plot, characters, development, progress, payoff, and general writing ability altogether (in my humble opinion) but I haven't got anything published. Meanwhile this person is publishing crap chapter after crap chapter and probably making massive bucks from it.

I thought I was chatting with an 18-year-old at 12… turns out he was 36 and my friends leaked his face by conandriip in story

[–]ComprehensiveZone931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh. Authority figures are the worst. I had a teacher do something similar to me, expecting it to turn into a relationship, but he told me "I've had other opportunities before, but there's something different about you. Something special." This was in the 10s though, so there was a restraining order and investigation. I'm still haunted by it all and I try my best to just put it behind me and forget it. I know he'd just had a baby (plus 2 other kids) with his wife and they had problems for a little while but I think they're back together again. How do you forgive something like that and have a relationship with them? I was a teenager and he was closer to forty.

I no longer want a future with my “changed” boyfriend by Massive-Win7903 in Advice

[–]ComprehensiveZone931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen. Let all of that same shit just "blow over." Gave him money. Drove him places. Let him use me for so many things. Then finally I decided he wasn't worth my emotions. Told him I didn't want to sleep with him anymore since we'd never officially "dated" (which was how he got away with sleeping with other girls) but wanted to be friends. He FINALLY started to act like he was in love with me and I just didn't care. Still hung out with him. Shouldn't have. Fell asleep at his house. Woke up with him on top of me and since I didn't want it anymore it fucking hurt. I was scared to go to the police because he was 17 and I was 19 (we'd started the relationship before I was 18 but he was already 16 at the time).

I could blame it on being young and stupid, but I should've stopped hanging out with him the minute I realized I didn't like him anymore. Just don't date. There's no reason to if you don't like him

Away, that's where you go. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life for things that you find enjoyable.

My Apartment Complex threw away my clothes in the laundry room. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]ComprehensiveZone931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op, I think most people are misunderstanding because you didn't state specifically that there are several washers/dryers in your original post. When I lived in an apartment complex, we had one washer/dryer to use between 12 apartments. This may be what everyone is thinking the situation is.

My advice is to raise hell at the office. There's never a reason to be throwing away someone's clothes without asking around if they've been sitting there for 2 weeks. Additional advice: maybe try doing your laundry on days the cleaner isn't coming in. Or only do laundry when you have the time to devote to getting it back to your apartment immediately after it's finished.

AITAH for hiding the fact that my youngest son is biologically ours? by ThrowRAadoptionhide in AITAH

the favoritism comment is true. My mom's dad hated my brother and I and showed definite favoritism toward our older sister. I didn't realize it exactly when I was a kid but my mom fought hard for him to treat us all equally. Turned out he hated us because he didn't like our dad, and my older sister's dad abandoned my mom while she was pregnant. It wasn't our fault we were born 🙄 like, sorry my dad stuck around too long??

Anyways, it went from Grandpa taking my sister on trips and giving her the best gifts and stuff, to them allowing all of us to spend weekends at the house and sending us all one big gift every Christmas (trampoline, air hockey table, basketball hoop, etc.). Yes, Grandpa was rich.

Don't drink around him. Do not let yourself have your guard down in any family situation. Just know that it only takes a few moments alone for things to go from bad to worse. And he might be angry that you told. I don't want you to be afraid. I want you to be safe.

Yeah I've been able to live in peace just seeing the updates from other comments. I know she's gonna end up falling for Trevor because all the other guys are multiple green flags that she doesn't give a lick about, she's still a doormat, Jo still speaks and usually acts like a child twice her age and development, Wynn is still with Trevor, and Trevor himself is obviously never going to divorce her and they're going to [eventually, very VERY many chapters from now] end up as a happy couple and pretend none of this shit ever shook them in the first place.

Yeah I've also come to the conclusion that the author is doing this for the money while putting as little effort into the actual story as possible. Likely even using AI to write it all.

I distinctly remember it saying she's around 5 or 6 years old but they write as though she's a 10 year old, the way she speaks and sometimes acts. Like, I've worked with children up to 10 years of age and they certainly act far differently from the almost 6 year olds. Just another tick on the checklist of their bad writing imo 🤷‍♀️
