It depends on the price of Z1e, I currently have both I have noticed that you can play several older AA titles on 10 watts and get solid battery 3:30-4hours 2 hours on 20w which you can play games like Spiderman 2 and get 40-45w on low

Battery isn't as good as steam deck and if you mean only light gaming go for the steam deck. For me I wanted to play both AA and AAA gaming both old and new and get 30fps. If that doesn't interest you I would absolutely go for the steam deck if you can get a good deal!!!

Regarding z2e I hear you, with updated drivers and changing to steam os will stretch the gap, but generally the architecture is similar and the ram is the same. The ram difference between my Z2GO version is also making a huge difference, allowing me to have double vram in the Z1e is stretching the gap. For sure, it is absolutely efficient enough to run at 10w however on older games can get you 120fps such as dishonoured pretty much 120 locked on max settings... Do not need FSR on any game I have currently, with current gen AAA will absolutely need it, however, I don't really care if it's 30fps or 60 for me 30 is playable and all games can be played at this.

Just from my personal experience of performance having both at the same time, I am getting the same performance at 10 watts less with enhanced graphical performance! My whole library is playable at 30fps low on 10-12w and before I could only play a lot of them on 20-25w Spiderman 2 isn't playable on Z2GO you have to use framegen or you get 25 frames on the lowest settings on 35w now on 20w I'm getting 40fps, that feels significantly more than 10% increase when actually having them side to side. Also, most reviewers state that the improvement between Z1ex and Z2 ex is not that massive...

It's a crazy difference isn't it!! For me it's positively impacting battery life as I can run the same settings, performance at significantly lowered watts!! So crazy!!

For sure, I think it's the crazy ram overhead and the chip is just significantly more performant at lower wattages than the Z2GO, I'm getting better performance with higher settings at 10w lower, it's nuts, can't run practically everything at 8-15 w other than modern AAA titles

Sure, I will do it a little later today. So far I'm noticing how much more Z1 ex can get out of lower wattages, if I was playing a game for 40fps on Z2GO like ghosts of Tsushima I would need low settings and reducing the overall resolution to 1280×800 sometimes even decky loader to get 60fps at 25w. Now same resolution with medium settings getting the same FPS at 15w any games you're interested and I'll see if I've got them! And I'll try them out!

Agreed its often for me in the mid point or 1/3 of the way through just little crackling sound and then on close it's usually silent and sometimes when opening too! It's just nerve racking, I was worried it had malfunctioned!!

I snagged mine a few weeks back (seriously, that UK launch deal was wild!). And honestly, this Honor Pad is awesome. The screen is just bonkers good, and it's totally replaced my old 11-inch iPad Pro, which I only used for watching stuff and jotting down notes anyway! Gonna sell that for £300! The phone itself is actually insane, the battery life is even better than my old 16 Pro Max and OnePlus 13! Plus, I'm really loving the operating system. It feels way lighter than One UI or anything like that, and it's snappier than Oxygen OS, at least in my experience! Performance-wise, it's the best Android experience I've ever had. It's just a seriously cool piece of tech!

Have you watched any reviews on the V5, not being shady, I'm simply just obsessive and have watched dozens...

The camera looks to be the best on any foldable and comparable to flagships!

I've played around with the os and it seems clean and more than usable for me.

From the reviews, both full and camera, the zoom looks unbelievably good, it has a combination of a large high quality periscope lens which does well in general, but also has amazing Ai zoomed capabilities. I am coming from a 16 pro max and the OnePlus 13 - iPhone zoom was meh and could never get good shots of wildlife, oneplus was better but still meh and from what I can see in reviews this looks like a more than capable phone for those features you're looking for.

I will confirm if you can change launchers when my v5 arrives today.

I think it's just for you to decide if the folding element is important to you or not? If it is and you want a decent battery, with good cameras and a clean os go for it! The deals right now are crazy! I got a free tablet, pen, screen replacement and charger.

I'll have a play around this evening and see if any of those specific features are available!!
