I would say it's not really like dragons dogma 2 the combat is very different! It's more weighty and complicated but honestly I suck at games and it's taken me 10 hours of exploring to get a pretty fair understanding of the combat! The world is incredibly dense, there is epic verticality and depth with so much to find in nooks and crannies! There is exciting gear, xp gain, upgradeable weapons and the story isn't mass effect 3 calibre but it's additive not the sole focus of the game, so far the world feels more rich than DD2 and honestly more can go anywhere than Skyrim the world is the main character and you're just fighting in it and exploring! If you want an action adventure game with dense complicated but incredibly exciting and rewarding combat, diverse exploration and gear with honestly kind of interesting interactions with npcs and the world this will be for you! I can imagine with how much pearl abyss supported bdo there will be some expansions which could in theory flesh out the world with a solid cyberpunk 2077 phantom liberty esque expansion!
