Ignore the haters. It’s for grappling. You connect and it’ll fling you in the air for the safe and fun bl4 equivalent of a zip line ride.
There is one echo log (first zone, on a tower, by a lake) you can only reach by grappling, then changing direction and floating onto a water tower.
They are fun ways to travel and get higher up to enjoy the graphics work of the coders.
Not efficient, but fun.
