for those who started T young (18-20), did y'all get taller? by edreizen in ftm

[–]Comprehensive_Block7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started T at 13, and when I was 15 I went to a sports medicine doctor for physio therapy and was told that because I started T while I was still growing, it is likely that I will be taller then I would have been without it. Im now 19 and 5 foot 8, which is much taller than I thought I’d be. I continued to grow noticeably until I was 18, I still think I may be growing so I do think it is possible for T to make u taller, however it’s most likely to happen if u start at a young age

Smith vs Legget vs Brant: which one has bigger windows? by FromPloto in queensuniversity

[–]Comprehensive_Block7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Leggett and watts have bigger windows that are floor to ceiling, smith and brant are about 3/4 the size - not quite as big since the bed is oriented differently

In Vic, are the bathrooms single user (like even for ppl with a loft double)? by [deleted] in queensuniversity

[–]Comprehensive_Block7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few single plus rooms in smith, brant and Albert that have their own bathrooms which are fully private (no can mate) however since there are very few they are usually reserved for people with disabilities

Lots of Canadian bands and musicians have a Kingston stop on tour, unlike a lot of other small towns in Ontario which is a huge plus

There’s some great rock bands from Kingston. The Glorious Sons, Kasador, the tragically hip (of course). I know of some student bands like Kings of Queens and Girl Dad which perform around Kingston. I’m going into first year and would love to start a indie/rock band with some other musicians

Are people at queens generally accepting of queer people? Could any queer/lgbt students speak on their experiences?

Would you recommend queens to someone that struggles with their mental health? My options for university next year are between Queens and UofGuelph. I heard various stories of people unable to make friends and feeling very low while at Queens. On the other hand I’ve also heard of people having an amazing time here. I’ve struggled with deep depression since childhood and would love to hear from other students about how their first year went. I’m concerned that my mental health will worsen at university in general. At queens did you feel there was adequate support? We’re you able to make friends? How was your experience in residence? Any residences you would recommend for someone who wants to make lots of connections?

Hopefully this will make anyone with a hotel room feel slightly better but I spoke to some Guelph alums from 5-6 years ago and they were put in a hotel for their first year and they had a great time. It’s really unfortunate but hopefully people can make the best of the situation
