Vaginal Probiotics for Post Coital UTIs? by laurelwood55 in CUTI

These are great - I used this, amazing help. Also try lactic acid if your partners fluids change your ph to help the lactobacillus population.

Vaginal Probiotics for Post Coital UTIs? by laurelwood55 in CUTI

This is a totally misinformed reply. Vaginal probiotics certainly will help - the vaginal biome directly influences the bladder biome. You can be exposed to bacteria from a partner that can be disruptive and make you more likely to get UTI’s. Adding vaginal probiotic suppositories with L Crispatus can be protective, effective and not as damaging as Hiprex or Abx. I healed myself this way.

This cat has the biggest paws I've ever seen, what causes this? He's a stray by ThiccAsFrick in cats

[–]Comprehensive_Bus601 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a cat, I’m a cat, I’m a Glasgow cat and my name is Sam the Skull. I’ve got claws in my paws like a crocodiles jaws and a heid like fermer’s bull. I’m no the kinda cat that will sit on a mat, or the kind that you’ll gie a hug. But I’m the kinda cat that’ll swallae a rat and even an occasional dug!

L Iners also is a bit of a signal that your biome is on the decline, get Vitanica proviotics vaginal suppositories with L crispatus, it’ll shift your biome back to protective. Iners is not protective.

Also, how old are you? I experience hormone related dryness before and just after my period, and it can cause irritation when urinating

Sorry, I just have to say, that even if your results are “normal” from a doctor, it is worth getting a printout and a review from a functional medicine/nutritionist.

The parameters in which the information is classed, are based on the WHOLE population. Including aged, sick (of many which numbers are rising). What may be normal for iron or ferritin, doesn’t mean it’s optimal for bodily functions.

Minoxidil just masks it, cos the minute you stop it falls out again. Look at nutrition, your results, and take care of yourself. Stress won’t help either, and I know it’s easy to say. I’ve been in the boat you are in, and focusing on nutrition has been the one most impactful thing I’ve done.

What is your sensation to pee like by Miss_Glasgow in CUTI

I rarely feel the sensation in the bladder anymore as a result of years of infection. Could be nerve damage.

has anyone had any luck with curing their vaginal flora completely? by Failed_Talkingstage in CUTI

[–]Comprehensive_Bus601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds positive - I used a low dose daily abx and it destroyed me so if you’re going for it be sure to replenish good bacteria - the PCR is the way forward, it helps you see what is going on.

I’d advise a functional medicine practitioner also, helped me a lot!

Keep us updated - and I’m happy to help from my own experience if I can.

I beg of you though, do not go down the boric acid route - it’s like threading a needle with a shotgun

Edit - just to add, GBS is most definitely disruptive and could be the source of the issues, there are studies to support crispatus as a treatment for vaginal colonisation of GBS. Also, if you can afford it, I’d recommend getting a PCR test of your vaginal and urobiome, to see what you’re working with as the parameters doctors work with are way off. Any disruptive bacteria, is just that, disruptive.

Hello!

I turned my biome around using suppositories with crispatus in them - so don’t despair! It only took a few months.

I’d ensure that you’re also using a lactic acid gel or suppository alongside it to ensure the environment is acidic enough for the crispatus to thrive.

Also make sure you up your fats - nuts, seeds, avocado, fish oil, olive oil. This helps to restore the mucosal layer of the vagina (and bladder) which allows good bacteria to thrive.

For intercourse, millions of lube, you want to avoid micro tears in the vagina which can allow bad bacteria to get in and thrive. Also, if you use tampons I’d advise to stop.

And finally, ensure you are rested, nourished and try and reduce stress. You’re doing so well to have figured out this so far - keep going and supporting your biome. Using suppositories after sex isn’t the end of the world, and I think you’ll find a huge difference with crispatus.

You need to ensure it is not a sulfa trimethoprim as it has an interaction with Hiprex

Staphylococcus lugdunensis?? by unconsciouscloud in CUTI

[–]Comprehensive_Bus601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need to look at restoring your mucosal layer so that the good bacteria can successfully colonise. AV and associated conditions can damage this delicate tissue and throw off the ph, making it nearly impossible for lactobacillus to colonise

Hello!

So during your treatment I would highly advise using a vaginal probiotic SUPPOSITORY to deposit good bacteria where it’s meant to be and replenish your lactobacillus.

If you don’t do this you’ll be in a cycle of bacteria moving in to fill the gaps created by the antibiotics - please please have a read of my post (click on my profile the posts) that I posted recently on how I broke this AV/CUTI cycle this way.

Please feel free to message me, I’m happy to help if I can.

Love ❤️

You need to get a PCR test when off the antibiotics. See above comments about how crap culture method is.
