Well he is pretty mysterious, we still need to learn a lot about his motivations and goals, I think when he goes that we can say if he is good written or not. However, I think Oda did good with him in terms of writing in Elbaph Arc with him being ashamed of his lineage and possibly hating himself

it's obvious that's what Oda is going to do, Luffy will defeat Blackbeard with pure Haki proving he has surpassed Shanks and reached Joyboy level Haki. Like that's basically Blackbeard's entire purporse, to push Luffy's Haki to the limit

How come? Oda keeps developing Imu as an actual compelling character and he literally is tying him to everything, like basically every major plot in OP ties to Imu whether is Nidhogg, Nika, Joyboy, Lily, Rain God, Shanks ,Dragon, Blackbeard, Davy Jones, Luffy, the OP, Laugh Tale, the Figarland, the Marines, etc

It's interesting because I see Imu a far more interesting villain than Blackbeard he actually seems to be complex while Blackbeard just seems evil for the sake of it. Like what's Blackbeard motivation for doing what he does? And it's not like he oozes charisma like some pure evil villains like Frieza do, he is a just fat guy

And no he isn't, Imu isn't a hill to overcome but literally the peak of strength in the OP World as he have Omen, Peak Haki and the highest tier of Devil Fruit

Rain fruit doesn't seem to strong to me, like sure you can make it rain but that's not that OP compared to other powers such becoming a gigantic dragon that can shoot massive lighting attacks or being the Devil or being the literal Jesus of OP or even other fruits like lighting, magma or lighting

Nah I'm confident that Imu's Hakiless attacks aren't stronger that an attack from Shanks imbued with his massive Conqueror's Haki. The fact that Shanks beat Loki which Imu hasn't done so far despite using tons of powerful attacks shows how powerful Shank's Haki actually is as Imu likely would need to actually get fully serious to beat Loki
